North Star
North Star
We gazed upon you , cold relentless nights, ships made of  plank and feather.
Fitful slumber, oh ye masts full sail , we dipped bow into that great abyss of unconsciousness
betrayed  like deserting soldiers , abandoning the post of my resolve. I slept. Fitful, full of bliss I dared not hope for.  You held me in  surreal reckless abandon like an orphan discovered.
Those words every soul echos in thought “To good to be true” Brave smile mask me a while longer I beg you. I did barely shut my eyes when you stole away my barriers peeling layers of armor effortlessly as the sun brushes away those lazy wisps  in the halcyon days.
I wanted to be strong and comfortable without you, like a dark alley predator you were upon my senses when I slipped under, beguiling me in shadow. Plunging that lovely dagger through the guard I feebly  entrusted myself to. Why must you show me what I crave  when I am powerless to look away, you made me feel, unaware I was feeling, till I woke, dispersing your truth with a shake of my groggy head.
Why North Star? Why guide me into perilous waters, drowning victims in hopes not reality?

Earth and bound
I am earth and bound.
Molded by your touch, malleable surface responsive.
I am earth and bound.
Tracing lines with the craftiest  hands, "valley, mountain" you named them.
I shiver like a dog , woods become widow makers.
Perilous grace in our depths.
You chose the palette ,  the hues that were inexorably mine.
I am earth and bound.
Mountain and vale where none shall tread.
When our faces meet they bask in our communion.
Yours is the air mine is the clay and familiar scent of what is real.
I am earth and bound.
I looked into your eyes knowing who and what you are.
You looked into mine instinctual without understanding, you fled in fear.
I am earth and bound. I am earth and bound.
It's all that is in me and I sigh not comprehending the sight of you.
You will take your hands running them over me spinning me on your potters wheel. I formed what you willed of me.
I was willing.
Every mountain every valley you intended me.
I am earth and bound.
When you wrote me in your pages did I come to you in stages as you closed my hidden places?
Soon to create them.
Deeply shaded.
You knew and kept secret sure of no exploration.
I am earth and bound.
Your face sets against mine like fated lovers hand in hand.
Warmth ruins me but I am drawn to it's necessity.
I am earth and bound.
Boy howdy, zipity dipity bipity do, crashawnk, codunkles, blimdicals, felu.
Words that mean nothing with clues white and black....black? Well that is you staring back, you think you have your foot in the door but it's only a crack, the lights are off , but you don't look back?
Two chairs sitting on a hill , people laughing , people playing, climb crystal stairs to the sill. See through the windows out or in? Perception of deception for those sills face in. It's your eyes that stare back that bare back and dare back. I digress , regress, deflect and subject. Myself is just playin with this yarn to no regret. So I'll stare back, I'll enter the void. I'll dare back and care back and not be annoyed.
Reaching down to pull others up, I was offered a drink and I spilled the cup. Souls are sojourning how can they be ill? Don't worry draw closer it's only a chill. Take your fill, there is more in the till.....If only we were here when the time stood still.
White light reflects and dazzles the eye? Tear drop shaped prisms  make colors alive. You and I know that this is no lie, how can it be if we are to survive?
Sit in your chair and I'll sit in mine we will do time together and pass it with......looking back at each other or back and forth? They face each other, reflect each other, see into each other. Are not each other. Are looking for one another. Are combined into one another. Just went past one another.
Did your eyes get their fill or would you see more, did you see the end of life or just another shore? Were the waves beating and tearing for more? Clawing at what belongs on the floor? Little pebbles or be they keys , white and black strung with.....seaweed? How did this instrument get to this shelf? Coral and ships and notes float about? Bubbles like notes lilting about? Who makes music in these dark depths? How stricken be the keys and the pedals with....ease?
Lift it up, lift up, lift it up....no yarn no yet....lift it up! It's flying on nothing but the thickest of thin....air compressed and blown up again? Should notes not matter when your up this high? Your making music and........ I just need to sigh...
But back to the sills and the people and hills and to the eyes of yours and mine. This chair and that, this stare and that. Up crystal stairs and to the door. It slowly revolves till we are dizzy once more.
Ok now yarn, what spin you for?

To and For
To me for all my sadness, to me for all my dread,
To your hands for touching mine,
To your eyes forever searching, to your lips that do not lie,
To I love you's that may,
To a heart that loves divine, to a window partially open,
To a heaven always closed, to a thought for which there is no escape,
To a child so exposed. To them who work their choosing,
To the right and wrong of ways,
To the length of night and the light of day,
To the peace in silence broken, to ****** sadly wrought,
To the me so enclosed,
To words and rhymes and riddles and times,
To which are lost and such cost,
To nothingness,
To time,
To idleness and,
To crime rendered just, to all things under the sun,
For which we have become, my thoughts fly to thee,
For them who cry in barren lands, for them who stir with mighty hands,
To them who bleed, to them who share, to me, to me, to thee
To seeds and weeds and all things glorious, to the ones of air and sea
To the threshing floor and fire,
To the harp and the lyre, to the ones with wings and eyes to see,
To the ones who deliver hope to me, to thee, to me, to me
To dreams I cannot escape, to fancies I cannot fulfill,
To burdens I never cease,
To amaze, to ****, my thoughts belong to thee, to lonely hearts,
To starting anew, to fear of losing, and loving, and you,
To thee, to water and fire and steam and iron, to forging the path,
To me, to heavens gate, to late, to late,
To a loss and to a point, to names,
To a soul without respite, to a soul without breath, to a soul with righteous rage
To wisdom, to knowledge, to right and to wrong,
To blind and to justice,
To duty, to people who need us all, to smiles not yet broken,
To burdens yet lifted,
To hearts yet shifted, to whispers at night, to hands in moonlight,
To hearing them say,
To I love yous that may, to disbelief, to chaos, to voices of dismay,
To find a new place for you may no longer stay, to find the lost,
To find the me, to find the one thing that we need, to find the right track,
To walking the whole way, to hidden and unspoken, and fearful to say,
To thoughts far flung and scattered, to the east and to the west,
To endings and closings, to fear for the rest, to you and the things I want,
To you and the things I say, to me, to me, to thee
To me, to thee to thee, to the colors and shapes, to the many and the few, to the young and old,
To the loss and the gain, to her and the child, to the ****, to the destruction, to the emptiness,
To ones who stand, to ones who gain, to ones who say my name, to me, to thee, to me,
To the loss I felt, to the gain, to the times we passed them off,
To upright, to the magnitude of faith, to the strength, to when she draws off her blind,
To when she draws her sword, to wisdom, to fury, to knowledge, to tears well spent, to things resolved,
To things I should have said, to things I should not,
To broken promises, and broken oaths, to what I failed, to what I lost
To smile, to light, to smile, to light, to me, to me, to thee, to light, to smile, to light
To me, to me, to thee
To lighter loads, to freedom, to breathing easy, to being more open, to being,
To friends, to life, to love, to release, to friends, to feeling, to love, to being
For the life, for the blood, for the right and wrong of it, for the chances to live, for the chances to love,
To love, to being

I will love you.
A man stands alone in his world.
A world where he can triumph.
A world where his will is done.

How much longer can this man stand?
He shakes when no one can see.
He cries out where no one can hear.
His thoughts are without boundary.
Nothing can be said that he has not already considered.

How much longer can he stand?
Will his life go on much longer?
A brief thought enters his mind.
A thought of a man ages ago.
Who is this? Who is this that brings these peaceful thoughts?
Who enters his world of turmoil unscathed?

A man is beaten as he staggers on a dirt road.
Forced to carry his own cross to the pinnacle where he shall meet his fate.
He knows his life is lost already. He stops for a moment as he walks and whispers something to the jeers of the masses.
He straightens his back and picks up his cross and he walks more assuredly up this hill.
As he hangs upon his cross with his blood spilt before him he again whispers with his last breath. Then there is no more.

A man kneels in a world alone. It is not his world any longer.
He does not need to stand on his own.
There is another who will stand for him.
Another man stronger than he has taken control.
All this modern man must do is die.
How can he refuse?
He cries softly to himself. If any man would love him so much as to die for him how then could he refuse?
How can he not do the same? Who would he be not to return this love?

As the man dies on his cross he whispers one last time.
The closest to him hear the words breathed of love.

I will love you.

A man will stand again in his world.
If anyone should die for him with this great of love how can he not do the same?

I will love you.

The haves have.
The have nots want.
Waste not want not.
Have nots have not to waste?
Haves waste and want not.
Who wants have nots?
Haves want not.
