how we do these things
to seem cooler
to appear prettier
or more perfect
all for someone
who doesn't even glance twice at you.

Have you ever had a hero?
Someone to swoop in and save you,
Steal your heart,
And open your eyes.
They open your eyes to a new world,
A world with happiness and love.
Your hero makes you realize things.
That you can be loved.
That sadness is temporary.
And that not all heros wear capes.
Some heroes just have a kind smile,
A warm, genuine heart,
And plenty of love to give.

The most comfortable silence
Is the silence shared with someone          

Someone who your heart beats for,  
Someone who only has eyes for you.

When you're with that person  
And things are quiet

Words aren't needed
But when you desire words
  
They can be spoken,
Heard and understood.

Silence can mean many things,
It doesn't always mean you're alone.

The silence represents a connection,
A deep connection with someone

That can't be recreated.

If you love life, life will love you back, you said to me.
But you took my life with you.

You seem to be doing just fine,
But I'm sitting here crying.

The one thing that was always certain and set in stone in my life,
Has now crumbled and broken.

Being without you

We all have that special person,

That can light up a whole room.  Similar to an applause.

I used to walk around
with my head held high
untouched and untainted
by the ugly side of the world
I was so innocent
so pure
but now
I see the tainted,
rough and harsh
side of the world.

Come as you are
  no accessories
      no extras
         they are simply distractions
             make your mind bare
               vulnerable

                        make smiles sprout
                           in even the darkest
                             saddest parts of you

It is a blessing and a curse
    to want everything too much
to feel everything so deeply
    and to dream vividly and big.

I was completely engulfed by you.

That is timeless and never forgotten

He is the keys on the piano
That are always there to inspire me

It's 1:03 am
I'm half asleep

Letting go of all the pain will be easier,
as new friends and new memories take the place of pain.

is this the way it is supposed to feel
taken but never more alone
never meeting someone who could even come close
to comparing to you.

yet everyday I feel as if the space between you and me grows and I am falling through those cracks that were once sealed shut

I struggle to muster the courage to utter six words as the space widens
