I sat with my broken heart
Crying
Now you sit with your cold heart
Dying

It will come in the silence of the sleeping night
When the blue comet streaks the star-filled skies
The tides flow no more
The night bird sighs
The end of man draws nigh

It will come in the silence of the sleeping night
The yellow comet shall blaze across star-filled skies
As humans wallow in restless slumber
And the helpless infant cries
The cities begin their final descent
The living waters retreated and died.

It will come in the silence of the sleeping night
A black comet spewing death across star-filled skies
The earth trembles in anticipation of our extinction
The defiant moon in agreement rises high
Our destiny has at last been fulfilled
The end of man has drawn nigh

If but a night and day gaze from my eyes
Take courage
Deafen your ears to the fearful cries

If but an hour you cower in my soul
Flee in fear
For what you have seen and now know

If but a minute reside in my inquisitive mind
The palette of a poet
Glimpsing into imagination and the ripples of time

If but a second peer into my heart and its crimes
There lies the enigma of my maddening rhymes

It has crept upon me
Twice in my life
Knowing eyes shining
Fangs dipped in  power

My broken heart its prey
Pale soul the desired acquisition
Threatening to devour me entirely
Unless given complete submission

Ruler of the logical mind
Commander of emotions
Its strategic maneuvers
Send you to the blackest of hell
To the depths of uncharted oceans

You will never convince me
It is a blessing from above
Madness that can decimate the body
Disguised in the wings of a white pure dove

This monster who demands sacrifice
Arrayed in the finest attire
Of cruelty and humiliation
The fiend love
Who requires you bow down
With unquestioning adoration

I fell into the fires of darkness
Where all lost souls do dwell
Breath upon ancient cursed stone walls
The carvings of heaven and hell

Doomed
Our punishment is to slowly burn
A thousand millenniums
For  peace we shall yearn

Into the fires of darkness fall
Forbidden from the light of day
The sentence be eternally endured
Beckoning before us
The shining path of purity lay.

On dying fragile stem
Fading beauty
Flawed gem
Loves abates slowly
From heart and mind
Emotions become faint and distant
Passing through shadows of time

Delicate petals drop
One by one
Falling silent without sound
Sweet scent disappearing
Not a trace
Until all that was once living
Lies dead rotting on the ground

My once unfaltering love
Has transformed into hate
As for my hearts restoration
I sit in silence and wait
Being deprived of that
Which was my breath

I have burned all the pictures
Reviewed the sad memories
Thoughts and plans executed
By he who in guile was my enemy
While still professing to love me

Realizing now the steps to destroy
Were calculated
Intentional
The tactics used are hardly worth mentioning
Gathering my wits about me
Launched a counter offensive
The fool has awakened

Now come the repercussions
Of all your selfish plans
The world becomes as fragile as water
Running through your greedy hands
It will be as though you are gasping for air
To speak such words
You wonder how I dare

The fool has awakened

In my dream the fool was sitting in an empty room
Emotions rattling in his pocket now painted with gold
Nothing but the sound of the clock hands fall
The air thick with deeds past done
Smiling, paranoia has come to call

You should have heeded the children's tales from long ago
Of King Midas and his shining mountain of gold
The cruel Grinch and the wrinkled greedy old Scrooge
By himself alone he sits
The fool in an empty room

I laid the first curse
While eating wild Lotus seeds
Encased in revenge
To enthrone the power of greed

The second curse wildly spoken went straight through the heart
For the acts committed by one who crave riches
Were very arranged, cruel and dark

The third curse would spew the truth of humiliation
Unexpected violence the teacher
Blows tethered to ego degradation

The fourth curse and most deadly
I flayed the soul alive
With immense satisfaction took one last look
Into cold blue staring eyes

So what was sowed was reaped
Wealth, prominence and land
But death refuses to accept this as payment
And you must bow to his demands

On the fourth moon
The fourth month
The fourth day
The heavens burst open blinding sinners
When before them a path of gold was laid

Riding on beams of righteousness
Came four horsemen with swords ablaze
Each a different color
  Black, red, white and green
Before them the flaming words say

The avengers of God
Dispensers of justice
No evil has the power to sway
And so commanded by the almighty
The four horsemen
When began the second coming
The holy wait silently and patiently for the day

Foretold by the disciples
On the fourth moon
The fourth month
The fourth day

It is said by smell
Impossible be detected
I am here to say they are quite mistaken
For it is as heavy as night blooming jasmine
Overpowering
Intoxicating

The smell of white calla lilies
Heralds the coming of death
Announcing another soul from life taken
Despair  indeed has a scent

Lain on a headstone in reverence
The wreath of flowers
Posses a perfume of its own
Depression and loss infiltrate the heart
A cologne that permeates the air
There is I can assure you
A fragrance of despair

The first frost came
When I was very young
Naive in the ways of men
It set in my soul
Cold winds
Sharp as razors
Through my tender heart did blow

Second came the  frost
Which almost took my life
For in love I was deeply
Deaf
Without sight
Unaware his affection was a lie
The frost arrived without warning
Tears of ice I cried
My soul deep in mourning

The last warm piece of heart
My beloved
My soul
Before he could take my hand
Called to Gods house
In the chritian religion of man
The cold deepened beyond depth
This was the third
This was the last

Now my heart is a sculpture of ice
So follows is my unique and lonely life
I have little tolerance for love
Its accumlative loss
So in my future
There will be no more frost

The rain announced itself during the night
Misty foggy and wet and light
Came floating across the moors
The ghost
In a tattered ragged dress of white

Wringing  hands
Under great duress
Crying to the heavens
Tears upon pale face

Deprived of her dear one
The longing soul could not survive
Body and heart bowed to death
In despair went her life

For over a hundred years
She has tread the moors
It is spoken of in the tales of yore
The ghost in ancient rags and lace

Wailing and moaning
An eerie melody
A touching mournful song
Observing her closely
The winds took pity
Accompanying with one of their own

Many times she has been seen
When lightening illuminates the dark skies
Searching for a love forlorn
The haunting ghost in white

She waits for her dear one
Who has yet to return
Solitary being
Perpetually yearn
Doomed to tread the earth alone

She will wander the dark
Continue her sad haunting
Perhaps you will get a glimpse
If you happen to be searching
For the ghost
In tattered lace and rags of white

As the Thunderbolt God Jupiter
Saturn’s brother
Pursued his loves in disguise
The Goddess Hera sat upon her throne
Irritated and plotting
Gazing with angry jealous eyes

Oh, courageous intelligent Athena
****** Goddess of the hunt
Dare the foolish to cast eyes upon her unclothed
Under the sentence of a tortuous death
Its said by many she was not birthed
But sprang surprisingly from her father’s head

The lovely Aphrodite
Would melt the hearts of many a man
Who would offer up their life
For but a faint touch of her hand

The Light God Apollo admirer of the word, reciting poetry
Pluck the gold lyres delicate strings
While the sea god Poseidon’s twelve daughters
Mermaids
Dressed in dripping seaweed began to sing

Ares of the bold god of war
Feared conqueror and great warrior
Planted flowers
As was his custom in the spring

Artemis in fervent haste strung her magical bow
For it was pursuit that stirred her blood
It flowed through her veins
Aged Roman wine
Running stags through shadowy woods

The gods of the Kings
The Gods of the people
To whom many sacrifices were made
Lived thousands of years beyond the lifespan of man
So, say the storytellers of olden times and past days

Rest your weary body
Drink from my golden goblet
The most delicate and finest of wines
A potion of wild raspberries, bitterness and jeering contempt
Assault the light that dare not shine

It is the elixir of a dispassionate heart
If you possess no fear
Taste the confectionery of sadness call
Where love frightened evades approach
Upon remembrance of the long dark fall

Sip from the golden goblet
Taste the cruel sweetness of pain
Damnation to those who denounce the motive behind the actions
Until the bed of anguish you have lain

But these rare wines have no equal in quality
Defiled by evil and cursed with shame
The unquenchable thirst for blood taints the golden rim
As the murderous night slew the rising of the day

So lift high the golden goblet and drink
An immortal taste of time
Accompany me into the world of melancholy
Where is served the most of exquisite wines
Come close now the hour when words become whispers
Demanding recompense for the crimes.

Not a drop of sanity was in sight
The present, the future, the past.
I closed my eyes momentarily and the die was cast

The bad shuffled and became the good
Unsure if it could or it ever would
The good bear left and the left turned right
What was once day suddenly became night

Now unsure they both traveled straight ahead
Frightened of the right and the left
Down the middle, they went pretty as you please
Counting their imaginary sins
Pled forgiveness with their fingers crossed
And fell to their knees

The cold gray swept across the sky
Sad winds
Encircled my heart
No warmth of love to defend me
Iciness forced my soul into the dark

The emotion of desolate loneliness
We suffered together in silence
As the gray moved through me slowly
Ever so carefully and quiet

Sweet thick fog that envelopes me
A reclusive world of frozen screams
It is my sympathetic companion
Who lives in my nightmares
My dreams

Ask Germany for they surely know
The tales of Heil ******, death and gray snow
As the blonde Fraulein's with blue eyes
Strolled the avenues inviting and slow.
Delicate flakes kissed the putrid air
Neath their feet lay the ashes of innocent souls
The ****** winds of approaching war and salvation would blow.

Oh Germany my liebchen
There is no denial
Mitt dear you were patriotically complacent
Turning your eyes away in shame
Pretending you could not face it

Sipping schnaps ignoring and abetting the genocide from afar
In warm cafes that closed its doors tightly shut
Smugly shunning the arm branded gold stars

6 million and counting were blindly lead to slaughter
There was no preference
Only Jews non human
Beneath their feet
It was of little matter.

Cast your eyes to the floor
For my lady you most surely did know
When the smell of fresh death filled your nostrils
Drifting down from tall stacks
The scent of pungent thick gray snow

Some would feign surprise
Others of course truly were
But those touched by evil
Denied ****** freely committed and known
Whence sprang the fire source
The smell of charred flesh
Into the sky ablaze the souls arose
So came the infamous days
Of falling gray snow.

Damnation haunts yesterdays footsteps
Poison tipped arrow's bearing memories
Seek their mark
The day offers no mercy or  respite
From the long night screams in the dark

Salty sweat drops upon burning dreams
Awaken oh soul to the blackness and fear
Its but a fleeting moment of millenniums to come
Marked so carefully on a calendar of tears

Turning helpless eyes away from the light
Placing trembling hand upon forever's door
Incomprehensible words muttered under your breath
Slipping into oblivion
Off sanity's sharpened edge.

When asked where he dwells
He replied
In the house of grief.
My heart is broken, and the soul is torn
Bound to a memory
A decaying corpse
That died gasping in my arms
Her name upon my trembling lips

Life left the body of my beloved
Though now long placed in the ground
Those who know me mutter under their breath
She makes no sound
And I am insane

In the endless aching hours
And long sighs of the night
An ethereal wraith appears before me
When the blue sparkle comet flies

The moon is on the wane
Reflected in the waters eye
In between the cold worlds
I listen for her cries

I asked gently with pity
Why is it must you stay
Until your mind can bear no more
Forever and a day

He replied
By man’s spoken law she is dead
Her body I watched them lovingly lay
In my insanity and heart, she lives
Curse them I care not what they say

So, stone dead he was when they found him
It was as he had sworn
In the house of grief
He remained to the end
Until she called his name no more

From what glorious kingdom
Will my armored warrior hail
That for my small hand
On slathered horse
Journey roads of heaven and hell

Riding stone covered ground
Of long black waiting shadows
To return to my lost soul
Stolen waiting tomorrows

On the quest to my heart
Slay the crimson dragon pain
His jeweled reward but one
Eternal love to gain

The lust for destruction of the souls
Gods hand refused to stay
While the Lucifers power ruled this earth
And black minds he would sway

The desire for mayhem and gold
Govern their embolden lies
God in his mercy allowed these living marked 666 to remain so
Not once
But twice.

The third time however
Azrael began to call
The earth shivered, the stars wept when it began
The last coming
The judgment of us all.

The Parchment was unrolled to reveal,
The evil atrocities executed in the dark.
No pleading or cries for the deeds, against humanity
Bear seeds of atonement from those empty of heart.

So, one by one the dominion of angels
Swords of divine light
Did come,
The first through the seventh sang the holy notes
Until the last song was sung.

The names of that condemned will never again be spoken,
Nor ever found in the book of gold.
They exist now only in the bowels of the earth,
An ephemeral memory to be told.

His kisses were that of a fine wine
The words he spoke
Washed away the pain of time
With nimble fingers mended the tear
That no one else realized was there

A glance from his eyes
Chased away my deepest fears
Gentle touch dried my flow of tears

His body rested
Peacefully next to mine
No one would part us
Heart and soul intertwined

Contented and peaceful
I was from the start
He is all that I require
The love of my heart

On the molded plastic black keys
Tip- tap tipping away
Smiling wickedly
With self-satisfaction
Words deliberately in a sociopathic array

Crazed Eyes agleam
Thoughts rambling across the planets
In and out of reality
Both far and away

Each letter vibrates with its own life
The deranged wordsmith's release
So the clicking and typing
Systemic vacant sounds
Never seem to cease

To the mad poet
The combinations of descriptive words
Overpowering
Promotes the disease
Hypnotizing
Beguiling
Calling in a sweet voice
To the mad poet
In letters A to Z

Royalty
She dwells in the sea- green palace of her father
The mermaid swam alone on blustery days
The seed of the water god Neptune and a river nymph
Her beauty blind the sun and his morning rays

On days of boredom
She swam with the white dolphins
Riding high on heaving rolling waves
Other times with Omura's whales dive deep
Or play in a red coral reef bay
Tickling blue ***** that walked on the sandy bottom
Exploring the dark octopus caves

Floating often with the deadly jellyfish
Keeping her scaled tail very still
Or wiggling through the raging currents of the ocean
With the graceful ribbon eels

The day passed passed
She became weary
Came time to rest her head
Returned to the flowing green kelp palace
And did sleep on a starfish bed

I am the messenger of death
Of all bias I am bereft
My entrance you may not refuse
Child of heaven and hell fire
The chill of soul heralds my arrival
Composed I am of good and evil
Having all the strengths and weaknesses of man

The bringer
Of that which humans fear
What with courage must be met
Fleeting thoughts of panic
Hearts remembrance of happiness and regret

I appear unexpected
My company without hesitation
Is often rejected
Though you may try to allude me
In reality see  my dark face
Destiny you must now embrace

On dark wings I soar and fly
To claim you
Sit quietly by your side
Hear your soft cries
Last breath
I am the messenger of death

If you dare look upon its reflection
Or have you the courage to look upon the face
Delve into your soul
Without self-admonishment or rejection

Though it holds many answers
So too does the mirror present many questions
The righteous existence of a soul
The solemn eyes that stare into it
Projecting endless depth and perfection

The mirror holds many answers
If you dare look upon its telling reflection
Those who get a glimpse of what lies before them
Are ‘afflicted with anxiety and overwrought
Embracing the art of image deflection
Denying the very secrets, they sought.

Still, others shun what they see in the mirror
Belligerent refusing to acknowledge the truth until the very last
Be assured you can bear the revelations that will be revealed
When you willingly gaze into the looking glass.

It came from deep
In the Florida swamp
Draped in unknown covering
The gray of southern moss
Its hair was said
Long and scraggly
The deep green of cypress trees
Moving through the fetid water
Tall cutting saw grass
Brushed tops of its knees

Some say they have seen
The elusive giant creature
On warm tropical nights
Striding slowly into watery woods
Cautiously
Golden eyes shining bright

Frightened hunters
Upon encountering the huge shadow
Run in panic
Left and right
Shivering with fear and terror
Told exaggerated stories of pursuit and flight

Now and then on an orange moon
His massive foot prints can be seen
So of course the tales grow
Of the moss covered monster
That lives in the world of black water
With gleaming eyes of gold

The moon smiled on me sleeping
While my broken soul was weeping
Hidden in the dark
Sympathetic to my heart of pain
Shone down upon me gentle rays
Washing away  shadows
From a troubled mind

Light  from glorious heavens
Bathed a world lost in themselves
Blind to mystical healing beams
When left to slumber beautiful dreams
A gift she offers to all

The moon smiled down upon me sleeping
While my broken soul was weeping
Hidden in the dark

Zephyr winds bade me follow
To the black coolness of the night
Do bear my souls sum
Call forth the God Apollo
Upon his lyre strum

Pray the voices of nine muses
A lullaby to soothe me
As I open the box of sleep

May the son of Hermes
Lively centaur Pan
Join in sweet slumber
Birds song on pipes of reed

Through shadows of Pluto I pass
As I sail into Neptunes blue oceans deep
Hear the wails of the lemuers sorrow
Song of poor Orpheus love and plight
Gently wake me on the morrow

Who knows what is on the other side?
What monsters lie lurking beyond the stone walls and multiple doors
Perhaps long-forgotten secrets you and I have hidden away
Erasing unwanted memories from our minds forevermore

Will we find heaven the oh so sought promised golden land?
Or fires of the unspoken one waiting that scorch us and burn
Is condemnation to the netherworld our unchangeable fate?
Without us would the world continue to turn?

Take a glance and tell me what is on the other side
Is it a plane of my mind which some say does not exist
For lack of imagination, some cannot see it
Others do boring dullards but simply resist

Are their stars made of glass on the other side?
Do emotions flow like fine wine?
Do the sea waves roar with song green and salty?
Or will they die with the passing of time?
Are there precious stones strewn about the ground like sand diamonds?
While a blue moon hangs high in the sky.

Is the evil of mankind waiting and laughing?
On the other side
For a seized opportunity to overcome us all
Are all our desires fulfilled completely?
Or do the shadows reign dark and tall?

I believe will forge ahead and go around the corner
Instead a sitting like a smiling fool on a self-made shelf
I will take a look closer look at the other side
And decide if I will travel there myself

Love is poison
Innocence refuse its taste
Lay a tender heart to waste

Love is pain
A  festering wound
Inviting the sleep of forever
Far too soon

Love is fear
Spurred by violence
Bruised submission
Soul shriveling
The voice a mere whisper

Love is a dark painting
Many colors strewn round
Till death embrace you in the ground

I am a plague
There is no cure
Creeping into your body
I must be endured

Moving silently through the air
Spreading rapidly by touch
Crying child to mothers breast
It is death she will clutch

Claiming thousands of lives
Having no rhythmic selection
Class has no boundary
So random is my infection

Consuming high to low
My kiss of disease is feared
Rats and fleas sometimes my vehicle
Appearing when I will

So if my mark on man
Surface before your eyes
Flee rapidly without delay
Or you too surely will die

After I have had my fill of the living
I shall quickly disappear
Gracing humanity with my cloak of coldness

Hunched over the worn desk
In the ***** yellow light
Trying to arrange thoughts in array
A  small mad woman with a pen in hand
On the paper drops of life did lay

The mind soared to the golden heavens
Dove blindly into the gates of hell
Using her favorite metaphors wildly
Dark poetry from a ghost-filled well

Eyes shining with frightening excitement
The feather pen moved on its own
Stories of a thousand lost years
Through legends of Troy, Atlantis, and fairyland, she would roam

Weary now of endless imagination
The ink dried the words would keep
Impish smile of triumph on her face
Rest her mind in an enchanted sleep

Her feathered cloak was threaded with the gold of the sun
To the queen, celestial bodies did bow
She walks upon still reflections of a pale flaxen moon
Emerald 12-point crown resting upon innocent brow

So came the fire breathing scaled red dragon
To devour the coming male child
So the rotting script told
Whose birth would be challenged by open battle
Transcended from the legends of old

The jade eyed dragon of a human’s dream
Burnt away innumerable points of light
The creatures flames were all-consuming
The weapons of his strength and might

In fury and anger with bellowing sound
Sharp claws dripping with evil
Ripped through quivering walls of time
Igniting shimmering waves of reality
Reflected off the emerald crown

The dragon’s breath laced with smoke and poison
Alas would avail him naught
Defeated, disgraced and overcome
Spread dark wings and from the queen took flight

The screaming male child born with mercies hand to rule
Paused his breath to hear Gods cry
Ascended to the throne of he who created the world
Forever in the golden house to stand at his side.

For each red drop
A penalty if you will
Increased by the number of blows
Payment is demanded
From the long suffering victim
Through whose veins
Contempt  and distrust now flow

There is a word
Justice
Winged angel with flaming sword
Who seeks compensation for the injured
Retribution dressed as the faceless one
Sound the trumpets
So this may be heard

Whispered words from contemptabile lips
Memories penetrate your mind
A breath taking
Familiar haunting rhyme
As you plummet endlessly
Through the open doors of time

There is a price for each red drop
Without warning
The black heart will stop
There is always a price

The resistance spread
A growing firestorm
Fed by corporate greed
Turned their back
To plights of the people
Unknowingly planted a seed

Dollars and death
It is part of the risk
Aghast
When the populous began to resist

You will not accept
It is my right
When personal liberties
Are stolen
Stand up
Fight

Martin Luther had a dream
It seems that is all it was
As drones spy on the citizens of this country
Unknown children
Are killed from skies above

So slowly the resistance grows
The government has become rife with fear
In a panic they know
We cannot be controlled
By the power these vultures hold so dear

As rumblings become louder
The number of disallusioned multiply
Shaping destiny with their own hands

Patriots by the millions
Wait for the anticipated hour
It is freedom we demand
With sweat and blood
Lay our lives down
The resistance
It has begun

When the Israelites return to the Golan Heights
And ancient blazing comets cross the planet fly
The Muslin Empire will rise from the saltwater’s bed
Dark and dying will be the flickering stars

From black oil oceans, he shall be birthed
Nurtured on the hearth of power and coin
Disguised in the words of Christianity
Weapons from every nation he calls forth

Deaths flag shall be the victor in the last war
The Muslim Empire will rise
From the depths of the Dead sea's floor
Blood against blood
Man, against man
Till on this earth, humans are no more

Staggering explosions of venom-laden light
In a world of darkness constructed by man
Debauched genius and greed tainted sight
In second blinding rays of silver filled the skies

Trillions of once living humans lay dead
Empty warm footprints were life once led
Gray piles of ash on radiation kissed the ground
The species ended
Beating hearts unbound

It was not the first bombed dropped
Nor the cause of their fall
Or the second
That followed
When Azrael began to call
The third
The Destroyer
slowly seeping life
The fourth
Spreading it fiendish tentacles
Created from evil and lies
The fifth
Came in waves of poison rippled sound
The sixth
Was death cold sister come to hover round

But came the seventh
In clap of thunder
None now left to worship
In awe and wonder
The seal had been opened
The convent broken between God and man
The punishment foretold
Revealed in the blood of the lamb

Costumes though they be many
A changeling you will never be
Your world is that
Of shadows and ghosts
Bearing down upon you
Revenges weight

Of hearts blood spilled
In rivulets of red
Sadness and fear
A shadows tear

Laid low
Forced to bow and kneel
Greediness
Your king
Took your hand and led
You followed blindly
As the dark ones began to sing

Now you regret
Deeds without thought
In the web of deciet
The souls you caught

Bitterness replaced the need of covet
The rewards of cruelty
Lives laid to waste
Sipping the wine
Turned to vinegar
How do you like its taste

Voices of the shadows dripping sweet with promises
It will be the sounds that take root in your mind
Now full of coin you have attained the status sought
How truly little you have gained

So shall your life
Pass through hells gate
The game is over
The shadows await

Heaven's angels began calling
Good to the left if you please
Shunned evil to the right

Those cruel and unkind
To the suffering poor
Blind
War mongers
Spoilers of the earth
In whose heart's greed was kept
Black minds where waiting darkness
Lay coiled and slept

Satan's angel's
Cunning and foreboding
Counted condemned heads
To each other smiled and nodded

While the godly and humble
Blessed solitary souls
Bestowed with love and grace
To God's delight
Were embraced by arms of holy light

The sky was falling
Heaven and hell's angels began calling
The world turned upside down
As the night became day
The day melted into night
Humans formed two lines
The good stay on the path to the left
Evil to the the right

Ash and tears
For the species man
As the infiltrating tentacles of self destruction
Unstoppable
Spread from hand to hand

The earth hid its eyes
So the moon would not see
As she whimpered and cried
For what was to be

The sea thrashed in rebellion
Displaying its hate and pain
The creatures of the ocean
Floated in with the tide
Rotting upon white sands

In protest of their demise
Called upon Neptune's strength
The poison cast on waters by evil
Man himself shall drink

When the sky wept black tears
The earth hid its eyes
The oceans roared with anger
The moon wailed and cried

Scent of the dead
Stiff lifeless body
Through now which no blood flows
Dark red liquid once upon a time
Coursed through blue veins
Strong heartbeat steady and slow

This being was a living spirit
Warm breath
Though the heart no longer beats
In cold still breast
Prayers of a priest
Tears from the mourners
Meeting your god in eternal rest

The smell of death
Beside hallowed grave
Where now the decaying body lay
Cold as the deep
The long inevitable sleep
Covered in the smell of death

There is no avenue for escape
Forever dreams now will cease
For hiding in the dark
With ravenous glistening eyes
Is a viscous snarling beast

Cannibalistic
Is its insanity of imagination
Conjuring up visions of
Emotional disembowelment
The soul's evisceration

This immortal predator of the time
An avid consumer of synonyms and rhyme
For it comes to satisfy its appetite
Savoring its prey
Baring broken worn teeth
Blackness will swallow the shimmering day

Peer round the corner
Pools of thought
Cool translucent eyes
Hear the echoes of coming destiny
It is the satisfaction of the blood hunt
The breath of a warm sigh

Venture past the gift of madness
Deep into the shadowed heart
Barely Interlaced edges
The snarling beasts lie waiting
Lurking in the dark

Who shall deny me my revenge.
Betrayed love and honor bear a price,
If in my hatred loyalty avenge.
A heart long restrained burst forth in anger,
The soul must be fed.

My calculated trembling thoughts,
The cruel and vengeful dream I seek,
Slain with stinging wounding words, he was
Bitter blade ****** deep.

I smile smugly contented,
Scheming roads to hell led,
For I gave warning in the beginning,
The soul must be fed.

The universe shook the planets askew
Deep oceans ran dry no longer blue
The moon wept in anguish and pain
Thick black drops of poison rain

It started with one rouge nation
Allies joined in
Cruise missiles were launched
The war had begun
People in horror tried to run
Too late
As the stars came falling down

Radiated smoke choked all living beings
The bombs exploding
Ears ringing
Sounds of the dying
Sounds of the screaming
And the stars came falling down

Now ash and bone
All countries prevailed
Man exists no more
Only death's lonely wail
When the stars came falling down

Where dips the rocky highland
Of Sleuth Wood in the lake,
There lies a leafy island
Where flapping herons wake
The drowsy water rats;
There we’ve hid our faery vats,
Full of berrys
And of reddest stolen cherries.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world’s more full of weeping than you can understand.

Where the wave of moonlight glosses
The dim gray sands with light,
Far off by furthest Rosses
We foot it all the night,
Weaving olden dances
Mingling hands and mingling glances
Till the moon has taken flight;
To and fro we leap
And chase the frothy bubbles,
While the world is full of troubles
And anxious in its sleep.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world’s more full of weeping than you can understand.

Where the wandering water gushes
From the hills above Glen-Car,
In pools among the rushes
That scarce could bathe a star,
We seek for slumbering trout
And whispering in their ears
Give them unquiet dreams;
Leaning softly out
From ferns that drop their tears
Over the young streams.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world’s more full of weeping than you can understand.

Away with us he’s going,
The solemn-eyed:
He’ll hear no more the lowing
Of the calves on the warm hillside
Or the kettle on the hob
Sing peace into his breast,
Or see the brown mice bob
Round and round the oatmeal chest.
For he comes, the human child,
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world’s more full of weeping than he can understand.
