A piece
of a ouija board
sits in the Los Angeles River
as the inky crows squawk nearby

I pace
along this polluted trickle
of a river
as the crows flutter by

Apace
a runner darts near
without his mask
I shudder

Ashes
ashes
we all
fall down

I fear in this lifetime,
It may not be with you.
Flowers on a table,
Turning to a gun soon.
Wind chimes come at my door,
I believing its you.
The habit to answer,
No one is there & through.
The crimson sky to shine,
Telling me its my time.
The last & final thoughts,
All telling me a sign.
Will I ever get out,
This end of my lifeline?

So sweet the daffodils,
You placed upon my grave.
Thinking of us all timed,
Lost soul to you to save.
Darling, where were you, all,
So close to me of thine.
Floating, flying, the rose,
Away from a birthed vine.
You placed the wrong flowers,
Thinking you cared for me.
Hand sprouting from below,
Grabbed upon you to see.
So sweet the daffodils,
For you & me to share...

I bide in the shadows,
Secretly writing your name.
An endless endeavor,
Never to be the same.
Cradled in times of sorrow,
I dare not long for you.
...Little time to borrow...
I hurt you to protect you,
Because I hurt myself.
...From this time it has flew...
Letting go is not enough,
So I wait in the dark.
...I know it will be rough...
Until I am seen again.

I missed your touch,
When you walked out the door.
Left me behind,
With Joe & little Flore.
You said no more,
Broken bottles & cans.
Torn wedding pics,
Us aisled among sands.
Wondered a child,
“Where is mommy to be?”
Small words to say,
“You’ll have to wait & see...”
We miss your touch,
Us longing on these eves...
Left behind a broken home...

Under the full moon,
You made me breath in,
Where turned,
Taken away.
Under it too soon,
The chastening of your soul,
Enraptures my lust,
Past lost love for you.
For where are you,
Upon shapeshifters,
Wrenching, drenching,
Confused of their souls?
Where am I too,
Clawing,...clenching,...
Under the full moon...

A sliver of sun scorching cerebrum
Whispers on the lips of an encephalic cloud
An old friend, whose company I keep
Warning against silhouettes and uncertain peril
Liberation is nigh from a skeletal prison
Beating on my skull and tearing at my muscle
I fear my old friend will return
As a siren, luring me to the bottom of a macabre sea
This is my first poem. I wanted to capture my recent, raw feelings about my mental illnesses in this little poem.

Eerie when it's three twenty-five
In the mornings of a nevermore
Fiendish powers dwelling inside
Awakened in a feverous implore
Darkness harkens souls to stay
When in an illuminating twilight
Subconscious turns ashen gray
Plants suffering a certain blight
Sleep had long not hypnotized
Nights, they pass in dry spells
No ravens come a tip tapping
Upon my mind's sly betrothal
Yet, the witching hour beckons
My brain has a way of knowing
Night, just half of it is passed
Rest half would be my undoing
