We were chasing shelter when the sky opened up and wept for us amidst our adrenaline rush.
I found wetted hair a marvel,
As mascara ran like rivers,
And your eyes still resembled round oceans that I would lose myself in.

Street lamps, their orange incandescence resembling fires upon the puddles,
Created bokeh bubbles that popped with a splash,
Rippling the reflection.
Yet, I saw you like a newborn catching sight for the first time,
A vision of divine beauty in the neon nightlife.

We shivered and laughed,
Our kisses sealing the silence that crept in.
Music played through cracked apartment windows,
Casting a pale light upon us.
I took your hands and we danced within the tears of broken clouds,
A waltz made for those singing in the rain.
Loosely based on watching a rain shower out my window.
Reckless little robin
Flying through the rain
Don’t you fear the lightning,
Ringing down heaven again?

Shiny little coat
Feathers drinking cold
How you float along the streams of a zephyr
Like a finger gliding past a tear.

Upon the perch-
Watchful puffed, shaking off the wet
I admire from afar
How not even the cold slap of rainfall
Can cause your wary little crown to fret.

Little robin -
How I admire from afar
Wishing we could converse
In a cacophony of chirps and tweets
I’d ask you advice for on braving the weather
You’d ask me how to hide beneath the sheets.
I don't fear many things, but lightning? probably my biggest fear.

You relish the way I caress your flesh,
Kneading into your deep tissue,
Exfoliating with grit and ground remedies,
And brushing the cool, slick oils up and down your curves.

You share stories of saunas,
Describing how you enjoy the steamy sensation
As I lay you upon the rack, closing the hatch-
Infused with the aroma of oak and red cherry.

The enticing scent of your sweat fills the air
Creating a potpourri of aromas.
The sizzling of your songs tingle in my soul like a reverie,
captivating my senses.

Hours pass, and I, like a tempting man,
Brush your bronzed body to a tease,
Kissing with my nostrils to your sear marks.
As I feel your heat envelop my follicles,
I’m consumed by a lustful desire.

Finally, I remove you from the iron-hot bed
And place you on the cleanest marble.
I stare at you, awestruck by your perfect brown and moist skin,
Dripping with juices succinctly.
You radiate such radiance, beauty, and temptation
That I can’t resist the urge to devour you.

“You’re smoking!” I exclaim, my hunger palpable.
I need this weatehr to break and stop being so dang cold and/or rainy, I'm craving some smoked BBQ in the worst way lol.

plumage, veneer and levity

my new near and dear ones,
new to this fold of postage of poets
flaunting plumage and veneer,
do declare, now and in the hereafter:

I, a soul of brevity,
swear death to longevity,
all that I shall you provide,
is brevity, briefly eyeful with
a side-order of fulsome amounts
of witticisms of levi levity,
so we may enjoy our ride,
twogether,
short, sweet unto complete
Poetry or death
Its a tough job but someone
'S gotta do it
It made me laugh anyway
My happiness, fleeting, lacking longevity.
Crippling depression shrouded by levity.
