To wake at noon, the  rare warmth of sunlight
breaks gently through the closed curtains, stroking our faces softly
beautiful bass tunes fill our heads from the room next door
I can already feel you pulling me up

Velvet and silk against the skin
I feel glamorous for once in my small life
I feel beautiful, still coated in the musk and smoke from the day before
We sit on the porch, I mistake shadows for my own hair and you blow smoke into the sky

Because of you and for you
We hold hands , take a walk along the train tracks
Is this taunting danger? I think we are safe but I will push it as far as it goes
Only to have you hold me around the waist, to tell me everything is okay

To have a candle lit dinner, on the floor of my bedroom
You tell long tales about our romantic future
I speak folklore into your ears
and then to rest, bed sheets, pillows and what comes with them.

So into the slumber I fall, into the world of dreams
where I dream this dream over and over, wishing I was there
Because, darling, whenever I wake
You are never here

“do you love me?”
What does it mean when you ask me? How can you not tell?
If you can’t tell that I love you then maybe that’s just as well.
You see I’ve never felt love before, just lust, pain or adoration,
But I know it shouldn’t lie so easy with constant hesitation.
“Do You Love Me!?”
The question pierces my ear but my lips are not sincere
The words don’t roll off my tongue as easy does my eye.
My heart doesn’t beat in rhythm until the time we say goodbye.
I need to breathe, let me breathe. But all I do is sigh.
“DO YOU LOVE ME?!!”
How can you spit wasps at me when all I want to speak is butterflies?
Do you know what love is or is just easier to be cruel than to be kind?
How can I tell you, with tears, with yells, with infidelity? How do I tell you I love you? With lies, broken promises and charity?
“I’ll ASK YOU ONE LAST TIME, IF YOU DON’T ANSWER ME THEN IT’S FINAL.”
Cocked gun at my head, pale blue vision turning scarlet red
“DO.”
It’s small led shaft pointed at my brain, no warmth left.
No time to say I’m sorry just forced words to relieve me of my breath.
“YOU”
Tie a noose to the yew tree and kiss me on the cheek.
It’ll bow down it’s branches and grow new roots. I’ll be ok, escaped to love another day.
“LOVE”
Pull the trigger, I won’t tell. You’ll never know, you can go to hell.
“ME?”**
Yes, of course I do. Why do you even have to ask?

These wicked emotions swelling up inside reek havoc upon the sanctity  I so desperately need to find.

Gasping frantically for a breath of air, I am drowning in the overwhelming  dejection that is flowing thru out my mind.

   So I will just hush.

Locked within this superficial world built on a foundation of complacency,  it has become taboo to maintain a sense of  hope.

Effortlessly individual thoughts are manipulated, silently molded, while obliviously gliding on this slippery *****.

            Still I should just hush.

It nearly chokes the life out of me , just the idea of digesting the spoon fed lies they attempt to force feed me everyday.

Private wars are being waged before our eyes, yet the colossal facade of stability is what  continually they portray.

                    Again they say hush.

But I scream back I will no longer hush.

You talk about this stuff as if you read it in a book, yet you know not how it truly works.
You know not of the havoc it could wreak, or of the consequences which would occur.
Your innocent mind, so high in the sky, could bring our world to the ground
All down to this new information you suddenly seem to have found.

So please my darling, heed my advice.
I don’t want our world to fall apart
I want you to stay just as you are
Just as you were at the start

I do worry dear child, how you understand it not, yet how you seem so completely unafraid
Of the power you hold in your small, childish mind, a power which may never fade
Which will remove all I've known from your beautiful soul, take the life right out of your eyes
I worry, my love, that your deep infatuation will lead to your untimely demise.

So please my darling, heed my advice.
I don’t want our world to fall apart
I want you to stay just as you are
Just as you were at the start

I have told you once, child, I will not tell you again that you should stay away from all of this
You have not paid attention to any of us, yet it’s not something you can carelessly dismiss
As you have done throughout all of your life, as you charged on entirely unaware
Of the dangers you have passed, so effortlessly, without even a hint of care.

So please my darling, heed my advice.
I don’t want our world to fall apart
I want you to stay just as you are
Just as you were at the start

My dearest love how I wish you were still here, here to stay forever more.
If I could I would bring you straight home, come back to me, I implore
But you didn't listen, as you never had done, and now you are gone from my life
And all I once loved has turned to dust, the happiness turned to strife.

So please my darling, heed my warning signs.
I don’t want our world to fall apart
I want you to stay just as you are
Just as you were at the start
I often stare into the sky at shadows on the moon,
with my attention fullest on the days of the full moon.

Discerning craters, mountains on its dusty pockmarked face,
that glows when sun stares winking flares upon the blushing moon.

I squint to find the waveless flag, the rover parked somewhere,
discarded by the shiny humans come to greet the moon.

Her light gives sight so subtle as to soothe and not disturb
circadians whose radians are rhythms of the moon.

Tree silhouettes' slow pirouettes sway by the summer breeze,
bathed in the sun's own afterglow under the watchful moon.

Imagining the lunacy of werewolves in the night
who, bathed in glow, to dogs they go a howling at the moon.

While all around the nightsong sounds in symphony they croon
the ballades of the wonder of the lighted sky queen moon.
