As I walk through the valley I'm the shadow of death,
I keep myself together with every waking breath,
I make it unknown to everyone who I truely am,
no one will every know the emotions I cram.
Some say i don't understand,
That I dont get it,
That I dont understand you,
Well I do, I see you, I know you, I get you,
I've been where you are,
I've walked through the valley and back up again,
I've slept alone with my thoughts in a den,
I thought it would never end.
Day after day,
Year after year,
never shedding one tear,
I stayed strong through the worst,
picked myself up when i was about to burst,
I've let love go when my lust thurst,
I am the shadow in the valley of death,
I look like im the angel of life,
no one needs to see the black cloke i wear,
they just see my smile and short cut hair.
Well groomed, teeth clean, smelling good,
no one relizes there is something below,
a second skin, lying within,
waiting to be let out to show my real self,
but until then the angel of life is here to stay,
to tell you your beautiful and great,
even the shadow inside me knows its not to late,
to show you what I see in you,
to rewire your battered heart,
to give you a new start,
to tell you that your not stupid,
that your funny and cute and deserve cupid,
I'm hear to listen and help,
even though you think I can't
I'm going to try my best,
not as the shadow of death,
but the angel of life,
to give you happiness in every breath.
Standing in this place,
Where you tells us nothing that is going on.
We fear the worst,
Only because you wont tell us better.

You  take us away from our land,
To a place I never knew.
You tell us nothing that is going on,
And you treat us as though we are not human.

You tell us we are moving,
and whip us until we move.
"form a line" you tell us.
We fear your guns, so we do.

You take us to the water.
The same water that brings us joy,
Now will bring us nothing but fear,
and hatred.

You whip the ones who don't go,
And Yell at the ones who do.
You hurt our kind,
Like you have nothing but sin.

Slowly the line starts to move,
And I hear nothing but the clang of mettle,
And the cries of my kind.
We fear what will happen next.

I get to the place,
where the white man stays.
I try not to look him in the eyes,
Because all I will see is sin.

You put your cold grasp,
From something I do not know,
Around my wrists and ankle,
But worst, around my neck.

My man fears you aliens,
so we do what your guns say.
We are not to be feared,
Yet you show us nothing but sin.

All of my men,
are joined by your cold hard chains.
The ones who don't move ,
get pulled by the rest.

The whippings become more,
And my people find it hard to stand.
You tell us you need us,
But show us nothing but sin.

We get on the big beast ,
The one only white man knows.
You shove us down the stairs,
And crowed us in.

We are close.
Too close.
Man and woman and child,
Brought together by sin.

the night finally comes,
And I feel peace again.
But only until the morning sun shines,
And brings death with it.

17 of my fellow men,
Brought out my you aliens.
Its only the second day,
What will the next bring?

The hunger in our belies gets stronger,
as you feast upon your joy.
The days food is not much
But rice and ***** water.

As we start to lose count of the day,
We lose count of so many other things
Death, ****, fear, mice, whipping,
And sin.

My man can not talk about there fears,
For the white man will listen.
The only thing we can do,
Is make our own language.

Some hope for death,
For by death our souls can fly free.
By death we can return home,
But our families don't even have our bones to remember us by.

Our women and children are used as objects,
Objects of the white mans will.
To show no respect to,
And release your sin upon.

We are brought to stable land,
Of which we have never seen.
You brake us into groups,
and show us no respect.

Only half of my men make it there,
And most of them are not well.
We are shoved around,
And most of do not stay on out feet for long.

The ones you deem 'Usable'
go on to the homes of the white man.
We are forced to work,
for the man of the sin.

We get nothing from this,
and very little food.
We bring you your growth,
While ours is held back.

We are the worker,
we are the barer of life.
You are the owner.
YOU are the sin.
Oh, will you ever return to me,
My wild first force, will you return
When the old madness comes to
Blacken in me and to burn
Slow in my brain like a slow fire
In a blackened brazier - dull
like a smear of blood,
Humid and hot evil, slow-sweltering
up in a flood!
Oh, will you not come back, my fierce song?
Jubilant and exultant, triumphing over
the huge wrong
of that slow fire of madness that feeds
on me - the slow mad blood
thick with its hate and evil, sweltering
up in its flood!
Oh! will you not purge it from me -
my wild lost flame?
Come and restore me, save me from the
intolerable shame
Of that huge eye that eats into my
Naked body constantly
And has no name,
Gazing upon me from the immense and
Cruel bareness of the sky
That leaves no mercy of concealment
That gives no promise of revealment
And that drives us on forever with its
lidless eye
Across a huge and houseless level of
a planetary vacancy
Oh, wild song and fury, fire and flame,
Lost magic of my youth return, defend
me from this shame!
And Oh! You golden vengeance of bright
song
Not cure but answer to earth's wrong
Mozart fades into Monet,
you are the ivory keys,
piercing the silence,
tangled in echoes of an angel's voice,
awaiting to explode into the
mystery of my colours...

Hushed within a silence,
fading beyond something grey,
always meant to shimmer in sapphire.
Love is never bound to soft silhouette's,
though the fault line is so fragile,
the hush can rupture the ballast,
deteriorate the fingerprints
left, moistened, in an exploration of hands
christened in worship of the journey,
sliding between the hymnal of thighs
scarred in the numbness of quiet bruises,
aching for the press of your needs
to awaken the ache, and kiss the morning
held fresh in my eyes,
with a glance into hunger,
still fresh upon your tongue...

My soul rests within the ebony shadows,
straddling your fingers, as they
pound the song from your heartbeat
descending into a crescendo of requiems divertimento,
unraveling all of these unspoken words,
in soft whispers of your embrace

Curve the edge of my thirst
in that place where the heart stills,
that place, where the pulse quickens
so deep inside the quiet of your benediction
redeem me in the corners of your smile,
and I will paint my love in Monet,
so soft, upon the canvas of this
Mozarts serenade of us

The aftermath, a concerto,
a delicate stroke of crimson
smeared upon the ivory parchment of my skin,
"I love you" etched
beneath the wings of your song,

...I am the unspoken lyrics...

you are the music of my life
fading into the colours

...of love's last breath...
Gentle lady, do not sing
Sad songs about the end of love;
Lay aside sadness and sing
How love that passes is enough.

Sing about the long deep sleep
Of lovers that are dead, and how
In the grave all love shall sleep:
Love is aweary now.
This morning was cool
and the sky just as blue.
I remember where I was.
I suspect you do too.

A moment for Silence,
the ring of a Bell,
Hearts still in agony
remember too well.

In Memory still green
Eleven years on
A day to read names
of those dead and gone.

We stand here together
in memorial park
between two dark pools
where the world came apart.

That morning was cool
and the sky just as blue.
I remember where I was.
I suspect you do too.
on the eleventh anniversary of the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center
The quarrel of the sparrows in the eaves,
The full round moon and the star-laden sky,
And the loud song of the ever-singing leaves,
Had hid away earth's old and weary cry.

And then you came with those red mournful lips,
And with you came the whole of the world's tears,
And all the trouble of her laboring ships,
And all the trouble of her myriad years.

And now the sparrows warring in the eaves,
The curd-pale moon, the white stars in the sky,
And the loud chaunting of the unquiet leaves,
Are shaken with earth's old and weary cry.
What are these bands around your wrists
These frayed stories that barely cling?
And what are these enchantments held
That cradle your touch between each ring?
And what is this ancient writing here
That’s inked from shops of yester-year?
Is there a relic about you yet
That makes your brackish past run clear?

What is that place your eye seeks out
When your steady gaze is aether-bound?
And what steep truths have you traversed
To gather poise as you have found?
What shadows passing now have stayed
And fears upon tanned shoulder weighed?
Can mysteries be unraveled here
That in your piercing focus played?

Oh wandering mystery mountain man,
Oh sweet conundrum of my dreams,
Oh distant altruistic love,
Oh ponderer of whispering streams,
Wherefore do the stars yet speak
So I can hear their secret calls,
But ever in their praises keep
Your hidden name in cosmic halls?
Yes, to my ears they murmur deep
The stain-ed truths of earth and sky
But never leaks that hopeful peep;
Verisimilitude is shy.

Forever my enigma: you.
The heavens sagely made it so.
For I have solved the their secrets through,
But so much in you left to know.
