tbh
to be honest
if I had known as a child
that I would be a size 4
I would have never eaten again
When the boulder was lifted,
Pandemonium started.
Everyone, in a flurry-
The usually slow flow
Of movements.
Now done in haste:
Moving out
Moving in
Resettling
Reorganizing
Moving shelter
Moving food supply
Everyone has to hurry.
In my eyes, I see that
Confusion shouts in every corner.
Still, there is peace
In their lined activities.
How could there be so much
Hope and patience,
When soon enough,
Another boulder would be lifted...
Demolition is nearing,
Construction would soon be starting,
Desolation, all is expecting,
Still, they move on,
They live on.
We, could gain so much from
These industrious, persevering living beings.
They are brimming with wisdom,
These tiny,
Slow-moving, fellow creatures,
Called
Ants.

Right now, someone is standing alone
with nothing but their scars left to remind them that they're alive.
Wondering how life can turn from a dream to a nightmare in the blink of an eye.

Right now, someone is standing on the edge of an abyss,
with nothing left to lose.
Wondering if they can remember what life was like
when they knew what happiness was.

Right now, someone is standing at the grave of their sanity
with nothing to be heard but the voices in their head.
Wondering if the ground really is as comfortable as they say it is.

Right now, someone is standing on the shore of a sea of people
with nothing to be worried about, except for everything.
Wondering what will set them off this time.

Right now, I'm standing here with nothing left to lose except my scars and my sanity
worrying about nothing, except for everything
waiting for something to push me over the edge.
Wondering if this is how it ends.
if something
of yours
is
full
doesn't
that in fact,

a mixture of

happiness,
courage,
and
sorrow?

a breath drawn ever so lightly,
so cautiously aware.
the rain drops fell lightly and kissed the dry ground.
a blessing eases out from under a rock
blood  from a stone turned to wine
the cool breeze caresses
and the heat slips into sleepy embers
the wind gently consoles.
the nagging worry eases on the shoulder
knowing too well the conjuresome
tricks of the fire storm,
a breath, a beat;
a sideways glance;
a view to a ****.
