life is a light bouncing
to and fro
re and de-flected
not often respected
do you like what you see?

to whom do you preach when it's all only you?
can you convince one young man he were two?
convincing conniving confounded connections
reordering words and thoughts in directions
you might not have thought until push went to shove
if the shoe fits it will fit like a glove

but from my verbose vernacular illusions
we come across and throw out our new found conclusions
for order was out there and the going was tough
born into smoke and we're gone in a puff

why turn my eye
if happy to see
our easy through and between

learn of pain
use your breath
so they must give out
that same nature

it must have been my feet.
stomped around a bit too much
they've run off down the street.

man upstairs no longer cares,
he's senile for the sound.
landlord is out, have no doubt,
for the rent he'll be around.

basking it baked in the asphalt's steam
tasking in takes no faults it seems
tightly wound taught in fortified seams
consumed with backrooms they live in their dreams
closer to closure without words being said
exposure mediocre as they burn up the bed
