People are like flowers
Blooming when they're ready
Showing off all their beauty
People are like stars
They glow brighter and brighter
Boasting all their power
People are like books
Sharing their story to all who listen
Hiding all their secrets
People are like love
They have their ups and downs
But they always prosper in the end

DieingEmbers
She wears my shirt so well
the way it just about
covers enough
to keep me guessing
as she makes the coffee
smiling
knowing what I'm thinking
playing along
in her own way

Faining innocence...

as she reaches up for mugs
letting the soft cloth
ride a little higher but not high enough

not yet.

The innocent smile now a smirk
a wicked impish grin
for she is both my temptress
and my tormentor

bending slowly to place before me
both coffee and temptation

as top buttons left unfastened
show me pleasures
of the flesh

my eyes never leave her *******
as she asks me
seductively

would I like honey with my coffee?

Home made and warm...

I don't need asking twice
I kiss her hard
sweeping the crockery to the floor
laying her back

my answer found within that moment

was she? wasn't she?

???

Tempting the eyes
hot to the touch
soft against your lips

eat it
mmm

would you like another slice ?
Toast what did you think it was about lol and the title is a take on don't play with your food

DieingEmbers
Memories
linger like cigerette smoke
as I inhale them
passively
giving myself over to the images
of you
and I
locked in a kiss
that only tasted of goodbyes
I just hate goodbyes

Form and shape
combine
in no better way
than a finely
turned

ankle.

DieingEmbers
Her tongue licking my lips
her fingers in my mouth
my bottom lip
pulled down
bitten
grazed and tasted
wet
my tongue in her mouth
my fingers tracing her lips
******* her tongue
lightly
her lips on my lips
my mouth on her mouth
Tongues lost in play
minds lost in passion
we two lost in one another
in the moment
tasted
joined
one.

DieingEmbers
We steal like thieves
In the shadows of night

you and I...

these stolen moments
more prescious than gems
these stolen kisses
more valued than gold

we live like kings
in this fools paradise

you and I...

Where laughter is our currency
with an exchange rate
of forty giggles to a chuckle
or 100 chuckles to a smile

We are as one here
unheard and unobserved

you and I...

where we spend our time together
snuggling close, holding tight
wishing time too would let us be
as so hard to say goodnight
to

You and I

The third moon brought forth from the shadow dark.
Gentle breeze freewheeled across the lakeshore.
Windswept was the air, in peace night was marked-
Unyielding stillness, blooming fairness more.

Silky pastel cloth, gushing curtain soft.
The window let in hushed waft soothing cool.
Fixed firmly on shore with poles planted stiff,
A pavilion meek light heartened the pool.

By the portico was a tree bent down
Whose white flowers bloomed lovely as a nymph.
Its jagged branches, lumped of golden-brown,
Delicately grown each emerald leaf.

Underneath its shades were cheery plantlets;
Pebbles hard and cold; red earth spongy ground;
Flying whirly bugs, glittering bead lets.
Fair maiden deferred, there then can be found.

Pleasing to the eye, that dignified dress
In white noble silk with fine needlecraft.
Regal as she stood, just for a mistress.
Mystic was her eyes, a soul was grafted.

Filled with potent life in her burning stare.
Profound as the deep, tranquil as it surge.
One may glimpse straight to, utmost one can't bare.
To its mysteries, one gave in and urged.

Verdant her hair was, hearty as it shone.
Longer than she was, white as the moonlight.
In her neck are chains, beads and shells she owned.
Varies in sizes, things that make her bright.
I really don't have any formal refinement in poetry making but I did my best. I hope that readers will like it.

Oh my lover, where have you gone?
I’ve been searching far and wide from dusk until dawn
Oh my lover, where have you gone?
You hold the key to my heart
Around your neck the string that it is on
If you don’t love me then just give me the key
Let me unlock my heart
Let it be free
Oh my lover where have you gone?
Yesterday you were here,
we made love on the lawn
It seems tonight you have finally disappeared
What replaced you is everything I have feared
Lonely, heartbroken sadness as taken your place
Guilt and burdens replace the smile on your face
But, oh my lover where have you gone?
My heart is weak so the line I have drawn
Bring me back my key I need to unlock it
Fill it with new light like a plug in a socket
If I don’t get it back my heart will surely break
Reminds me of arguments
All you do is take, take, take
Oh my lover where have you gone?
You must be far away, eons and eons
My heart is torn now right down the middle
On minor details I’d rather not piddle
Oh my lover where have you gone?
Alas off to find another man
None of the brains all of the brawn
