While we slumber and sleep,
The sun leaps up from the deep,--
Daylight born at the leap,--
Rapid, dominant, free,
Athirst to bathe in the uttermost sea.

While we linger at play--
If the year would stand at May!--
Winds are up and away,
Over land, over sea,
To their goal, wherever their goal may be.

It is time to arise,
To race for the promised prize;
The sun flies, the wind flies,
We are strong, we are free,
And home lies beyond the stars and the sea.

Why
Why does life have to **** so bad

Why can't everyone be happy and glad

Why is there broken heart scattered across the floor

Why do people slam their doors

Why can't everyone love

Why is heaven so high above

Why did I cry when a child was saved

Why can't I be strong and brave

Why is the world spinning round and round

Why do the birds sing sweet sounds

Why can't god bring back my loved ones who passed away

Why do I cry when I hear their names

Why can't everyone be happy and glad

Why does life **** so bad

Words, utter, deconstruct,
Pure truth is now, tainted.
Always two ways of seeing,
Right is mighty and written,
The blinking stars, warning,
Over heads of manly stone,
Silent testimony unheeded.
Faith, the hearts perdition,
The exquisite supplication,
The tyrants dream so freely
Spun for turning heads tips
As baubles do when moon
Is full or the sun is searing.
Is the world really flat? Are
The angels already among
Us or do birds surely winter
On the moon?
There once were superstitious explanations for birds disappearing in winter: that they either hibernated, or turned into other species. A third common misconception, originating from a pamphlet published in 1703, was that birds actually spent the winter on the moon.

There was a war that day between
A little girl and a red balloon.
"Fly!" said the girl to the balloon,
"Fly me away, take me away from here!"
"Be still!" Said the balloon to the child,
"If freedom is peace, we've found it here.
If freedom is peace, we've found it here."
Inspired by the lovely La Dispute!

Crickets are a drum,
And summer a dance
My eyelids a song,
Heavy but bright
Like the stars are strong.
I'd sing along,
But my voice is gone
And my mind's in flight,
Pondering life.
