A symphony of woodland imagination , Sycamore trees that mimic the forlorn's indignation .. Persuasive River Birch's cover quiet brooks , compel the fragmented light crossing the waters surface between moss covered stones , Honey Locust armed with their crown of thorns , instruments of the Passion stand majestic as regal Live Oaks command the high cliffs above the swirling tributaries confluence and utter confusion ..
Pan awakens the creatures at Dawn with the song of whippoorwill and Mourning Dove . Helios sets the floor aglow , Redtailed Hawks deliver their morning anthems..

I long for the smell of fresh turned soil , an experience I've never forgotten ..
The smell of diesel , oil and grease  ..The ringing of harrow and bush hog ...
My Liberty overalls and size ten clod hoppers , suede cowboy hat , pocket watch and Bloodhound tobacco ..
Bob White Quail walking the wood line waiting to
get their fill of turned ground morsels , grains and grasshoppers ..
Curious Whitetailed Deer hiding in the shadows , Redtailed Hawks
with a keen eye for field rats escaping the plow ..
A sixty two Massey Harris that ran like a' Top ' through rain
and heat , never missing a beat !
My mind prays for the simple life of man and machine , the brushfires
of March , the restoration of God's green earth ..

Standing in the clear piedmont blood ,
with understanding , with unchecked curiosity
along the jagged edgeways
Ardent Yellow Perch skipping her countercurrents ,
painted turtles at liberty atop driftwood memorials
Hardwoods sash -shay the moss painted root bound
architecture , sunbeams expose the river bottoms ,
Blue Herons and Redtailed Hawks stand on silent
watch , birds of every color and unique song pass ,
command these silver blue corridors

butterflies farm lush scuppernong arbors
Redtailed Kings patrol their sun-laced piedmont sheriffdom engulfed in songbird tune and Sugar Pine perfume* ....
