Distance
Hidden face Feb 2013
A friend of mine. Behind this smile she hides. Between the fine lines of life. Distane. What's your name she wispers? I'll be your closest friend. Trust me. A lie. Vindictive, distance, she sure is. Don't let any one in. Distance. She screams. Manipulative. Your better off alone with me. Don't you see? You've become quite fond of me. You've pushed away everyone who could possibly care. Take it from me, someone close to she. Distance. She'll serve a great purpose. A wall. Between loved ones and all. Alone. You'll be. Distance. Come with me. You'll see how evil she can be. Distance.

The air felt heavy and grey
Speckled lights awaiting a thunderous shout
I counted
Eight it be

Only I could compare such a beautiful place
To the dires of home
Ants of the people pushing and irking my distane
The sound continues

I wanted to go back
I'd been spoilt elsewhere
Shadows of another place
Pulling my mind
Itching my soul

Yet here I lay
Rain so loud
Heart all lost
Oh lakes what have you done
The mountains have spoken

— The End —
