Long before Christianity,
and, Prehistoric times,
in existence that,
doesn't flee,
celebrated equinoxes,
and, the solstices
"sacred times"
Goddess of Springtime,
Ostara, Eostre or Eastre,
as referred, Lent her name,
you will of heard

Salvation of humankind,
Resurrection,
No dissection,
Pesach,
Eostre.

It's time to get drunk on the heady lilt of spring
The elements in ecstacy, seduction of senses
Dreamy pastels, scattered soft and burnished
Bright like passion, Eostre ascendant
Irresistible insurrection of berries bloom like babies in the bushes
Alms at the altar of the goddesses
Purifying time's font
Way of the well worn track
Unencumbered by regimes
The berry blossom dances oblique in dappled shade
Half-shying from the day, and yet holds its neck
Under sun to honour publicly
A frolic that warms half of the year
Grater thinly
Honey apple
Méli honey
Quince
It looks more like a pear
Cooked with honey they will set
Do you have a cookbook yet?
Apicius
Well some say,
it was the household cooks,
recipe anyway
Some Scholars argue,
that there is little connection,
between Apicius,
and the cookbook reflection

Margaret

Do you have a lace tablecloth?

Dr Diviney

Yes Margaret
It is in the kitchen dresser
How many years have we set the table
for Sunday Spring breakfast in March

Dr Diviney

We still have dinner to prepare
Margaret the lace tablecloth is there
Thank you my dear

Margaret

Margaret

I said to David yesterday,
please make sure
all the eggs are decorated for today
A table centrepiece,
is needed for the Spring breakfast peace

Dr Diviney

Margaret, do we have sourdough bread?

Dr Diviney

It was delivered yesterday

Margaret

At last Springtime breakfast

Dr Diviney

Here we sit again
Given to us a new start
Vernate in nature
Growth and renewal
Sunshine

Eostre breakfast
Thank you Margaret,
you are nature's heart
There always,
for the new Spring start
