His pet cat Susan,
quietly on his bed, reclines.
But the moment his thoughts
tenderly touches his woman,
with great alacrity, switches on her sixth sense,
springs to his lap,
as only a cat can,
with a growl of distinct disapproval,
and licks, all over his face
in a salivating show of affection,
then intently looks in to his face,
as if asking without words:
"Is that cat, good enough for you,
as much as me,
in her moments of love?"

The moon has become a dancer
at this festival of love.
This dance of light,

This sacred blessing,
This divine love,
beckons us
to a world beyond
only lovers can see
with their eyes of fiery passion.

They are the chosen ones
who have surrendered.
Once they were particles of light
now they are the radiant sun.

They have left behind
the world of deceitful games.
They are the privileged lovers
who create a new world
with their eyes of fiery passion.

My notebook is running out of pages

It’s wrinkled, torn, in its final stages

I wish I’d been more thoughtful

I wish I’d been more careful

With what messy, scribbled words
I’ve written down over the ages

But I’ve written what was present in my mind at the time

And to do anything else would be something of a crime

I’ve pushed aside more “important” things

To run my pen down the metal rings

That bind the sheets of paper as I try to find the phrase

To describe my thoughts in such a way that someday will amaze

High school students as they sit in lamplight in their friendly cage

In their hands they’ll hold my soul on a freshly printed page

That is just the starting stage of a bright and brand new age
I wrote this months ago and only just today did I actually reach the last page of my notebook. I guess my anxiety was a bit premature. I bought a new one. Don't worry.
I really liked this poem when I wrote it, which is normal; but I still like it now, which is astounding. The rhyming hits my brain the wrong way, but I don't want to change it.
Fairly self-explanatory, yeah? My English class reads a lot of poetry and I think it'd be neat if one of my poems showed up there one day.
Inaugural post, bam.

My boots chased each other down a staircase
That led me straight to you
It was obvious, from the map in your hands
That you didn't have a clue

Our eyes met
My pace slowed

I saw a budding smile in your gaze
As you stood and waited
It was obvious, a soul in quiet distress
Waiting to be aided

I walked on
Your face fell

My boots questioned each other across the floor
And ever since that day
Lost stranger, you are my biggest regret
Did you ever find your way?
Completely true story. I couldn't tell you why this affects me so much, but I'm really really angry at myself for not helping that kid find his next class.
Wrote this about thirty seconds ago. Trying to write more and filter less. Come at me. Bring a better title with you.

Here I am
Lost and confused
wanting to quit
wanting to give up
give up
Searching for my inner strength
Searching for my Identity

who am i?
Who am I?
That I'd give up on me
When everyone's gone
and abandoned
when hope seems to be all but lost....

you just hold on
hold on
to hope
to love
to life
to God
one must believe there is a purpose
to all this chaos

There is no book
nor manual
or directions to this life

mistakes shall be made
We'll turn around
and I'll find you
and you'll find me...

Together life shall be
in perfect harmony
It will be beautifully
distorted, with images
and ugly scars
but that's not the reason
why we chose each other.

I love you
and you love me
We look past all of this
and together we live
in perfect harmony

like a garden
left and abandoned
with no sun or rays of hope
with a lack of water
The plant should dwindle
Yet the magic is found within
because that's where the beauty appears

So don't give up
and don't lose hope
Don't forget
to love and forgive

This is your life
write your own tale
make the mistakes
find the hidden trail
own what you can
give when you can

Just don't give up
and don't lose hope
Don't forget
to love and forgive

I know its cliche
but since we only do live once
make it count
own your story and your problems
and together we can become one of the
Greats
