My thoughts so scattered
like body parts strewn across a silent battlefield
beaten, ****** and tired
unable to withstand the power of opposing forces
I crumble under the weight of my own mind
My thoughts are so alive
yet so broken
they think but they don't understand
whatever is in there, cradled in white bone
protected and treasured
it thinks
but it is not ready to understand.

Slipping out of focus now,
this slow fall into a shallow pit
has countless audiences on
seat's edges.
This is the kind of thing they make movies about.
Convoluted past exhaustion,
cliche spirals sell their earthly trinkets
and head for Hades.
Destination: Ninth Circle.
How is it possible? This
alienated deprivation of reality
is not all my own, never will be.
I have become everything one-dimensional,
a decaying heap of facades. Leftovers from
more photogenic weekdays remind me
of duality, of a set of gaudy earrings
I have apparently not yet forgotten.
But I find it better to let the corpses sleep.
Rest assured, they will wake eventually.
It's hard not to love you
Your smile blankets my thoughts and colors my dreams
You make it easy to sleep easy
I was born to love no one
no one to love me
only the wind in the long green grass
only the frost that i feel on my toes
i was born to use my eyes
and it was with words
my soul was set free
in this curl curl world
when i was younger
than i now am
love words and they will
set you you free
for they make me stronger inside
than i really am myself.
I know love exists
I've seen its rotting remains.
In your laughing eyes.
Just a Psychedelic girl
And Nothings gonna change my world
Blue skies
Kaleidescope eyes
Tan thighs, time flies
Flies away, don’t exist
Colors dripping off my lips
Looking for one perfect kiss
Kiss the sky, flying high
Goodbye time, hello mind

Subtracting his half from the word together,
burning pictures and nicknames so they don't leave a trace,
he's pining in piles of unopened letters.

With a head full of pulp and a heart of wet leather
he spent every tear he had in his face
subtracting his half from the word together.

He'd given his best 'cause he thought she'd had better-
she starved for attention; he hated the taste,
pining in piles of unopened letters.

She flew from the nest in search of warm weather;
he blew out the flame, too numb to touch base,
subtracting his half from the word together.

When the weather grew cold she put on his sweater-
pitched a tent by her mailbox just in case-
while he's pining in piles of unopened letters.

One held on to their end while one cut the tether.
She licked 32 envelopes:  each went to waste.
Subtracting his half from the word together,
he's pining in piles of unopened letters.
I wear this camouflage so that I can blend in. Khakis, and a sweater, and some loafers and then…I dissolve into this city, into its dreary streets. An unnoticeable part of this life set on repeat. I don’t want to be noticed, I don’t want to matter. I just want to blend in to these lonely sleep patterns, and this rhythm of a city that has no reason. Time after time and season after season, but I was there, carefully camouflaged to match the despair, seen in the eyes of everyone else. Everyone whose life was left perched on a shelf to collect more dust. Though, it would seem that they call it dreams. I call it what it seems, life put on hold for a city so bold that everyone wants a chance to hold that candle flame.  Shaped like a dream of music, or of fame that falls lame as their hands become cracked and bleeding from washing so many dishes while their wishes become fleeting. Then reality sets in, and another one falls to join the rest of us denizens. Welcome new guy, I have a surprise, here are your khakis, sweater, loafers and plastic smile. Don’t you worry, you’ll get used to them after a while. In a lifeless city with a lifeless heartbeat, you’ll learn to blend in to this day to day defeat. It hits everyone after all, and there’s really no way to dodge. So now that you know, don’t forget to wear your camouflage.
Haven't been able to write as much as I would like, too busy lately with work and such. Hopefully I can get back to it.
