From the countless footsteps
I could feel hers
when summer sun was slanting
the day was losing glares.

Oh her lotus feet
how they cooled the burning dust
soothed my spirit
now I tell the story must!

She would wait beneath a tree
to catch a passing song
that breathed her lullaby
stayed with her for long.

When wind hushed the passing note
the darkness chilled her bone
upon her eyes starlight wrote
you are so alone.

She turned the way she came
trod me her lotus feet
hadn’t seen her known her name
but felt her in heartbeat.

One evening she waited long
till the last crow found its nest
she was dying to hear his song
but silence rent her breast.

As she walked my laden stone
weighed in load of pain
I could feel her anguished moan
that fell on me like rain.

She hasn’t come back to this day
hadn’t seen her known her name
only know it’s truth they say
once lit never dies love’s flame!
Mind the gap
Between the platform and the train
(We don't want an accident or fatality again)

Mind the gap
Between your work and your life
(It's hard to manage daughter, mother, sister, worker, wife)

Mind the gap
Between work, rest and play
(Or else you'll wake up wrinkled, or burnt out one day)

Mind the gap
Between your needs and those of others
(There's a symbiotic balance between family, friends and lovers)

Mind the gap
Between your psyche and your brain
(Don't slip through the cracks between the passion and the sane)

Mind the gap
Just be careful, take your time
Lets keep things running smoothly, no delays on this line
hurry get out of here, before it's too late
don't worry darlin' I'm used to the pain
I can't really blame you for running away
Who'd want a girl with a heart full of hate?
it's such a shame
that these days
"real" friends are just about
as hard to come by as
teenagers with unscarred wrists
you should be ashamed of yourself. all three of you.
The truth may hurt.

But it never hurts as much, as discovering
That the truth, you thought was true,

Was just another lie, all along.
Lies hurt more.
If you could see me now,
If you were here, still today,
What, I wonder, would you have to say?

My behavior, I'll admit, hasn't been the best.
I fear you are up there, disappointed in me.
This isn't who I want to be, I confess.

You can read my thoughts, I fear.
Into my mind, please don't go near.
No, stay away from that dark, evil place.

In life, you loved me somehow.
Would you still love me,
If you could see me now?
I hope you can't see me this way.
Why did you have to leave so soon?
Jazz music and drunken slurs,
Passing streetcars turn to blurs,
Bite off more than you can chew,
Seafood gumbo, thick brown roux,
On shoulders sit sons and daughters,
Ferry ships, Mississippi waters,
Dancers dressed like voodoo queens,
Clad in purples, golds, and greens,
Yell, "Throw me something mister!"
Flying beads barely missed her,
Pralines, king cakes, and beignets,
Maid of Muses smiles and waves,
Rex, Zulu, Endymion,
From Decatur to Bourbon,
Floats, masks, a feather boa,
Sweet iced tea, jambalaya,
Big Easy on Fat Tuesday,
Lent is just a day away.
excited for Mardi Gras :)

Remember all the goose bumps inducing promises you made to me
well yes you do
you compelled this **** to love you forever

am that ****
the **** who lost'd his bullets
while trying to dive into solitude

Fiolina! Fiolina
the ache of my life
it hurts like nine hells
if you could see the burden behind these eyes
like how i felt when you left me behind!

you were my heart beat
being apart from you was more painful than my wounds

dear comrades
introduce me to whatever you've been smoking
i need to take a puff of this misery
and blow out all this sorrow
