Say, can you hear it...the sound of silence
Spoken of by poets before our time
Sung in song to the masses
Given meaning inside the rhyme

I take it in...the sound of silence
And give to it a needed home
Away from the noise of this generation
A place that it can call its own

It whispers thanks...the sound of silence
Then goes and sleeps off in a corner
Where it is the sound of silence
Can't be bothered anymore
That Something's Always You
(A Parents Love)

Each morning when I wake up
And start my day anew
I think of something that I love
And that something's always you

I wisper that I love you
And kiss you on the cheek
Stand there in the moment
And think how lucky can I be

I watch as you turn over
To block the sunlight from your eyes
Then pull up the covers
Your attempt to try to hide

I tell you that it's time to wake
You must now begin your day
You look at me and smile
And all my troubles go away

For each morning when I wake
And start my day anew
I think of something that I love

And that something's always you

First come up with a catchy title
One that will draw the crowds
Throw in a bit of Mojo
A little pizzazz, a lot of Wow

Give it a twinge of what people want
A slight tweak of what people need
That can stand on it's on, slap them square in the face
How about you call it FREE MONEY!

Now that you have the hardest of parts
Tightly locked in place
It's time to spin the ultimate rhyme
One that will blow them all away

Throw in a little love for all the ladies
One or two car chases for Dad
So as not to leave anyone out
Dinosaur's and bunny rabbits for the kids

Now take it and mix it together
Slightly shaken but never stirred
Till you have them eating out of your hands
Devouring your every word

This will keep them coming back for more
They will always be waiting in line
For your next junket through
The world of mysterious rhyme

I hope that this has been helpful
And in a way has enlightened you
Now go out there Mr.and Miz Poet
There's a line outside waiting for you

There's no reasonable explanation
To how this all went down
When the world woke up one morning
All made up as clowns

Not a single person in the world
Did this phenomenon not claim
With big red buttons on their chests
Spelling out new funny names

There was Patches and Petunia
Floppy and Cupcake
Winky and Bumper the Clown
Were just a few that they displayed

Everyone went about their business
Only now they all carpooled
You could see clowns piling out of cars everywhere
From businesses to stores to schools

Crime it did die down
Because all the guns that people have
Instead of shooting bullets
Shoot out brightly colored Big Bang Flags

Of course the circus lost its glamour
With an audience made up of clowns
It's hard to tell who's there enjoying
And who's entertaining all the crowds

People stopped taking each other seriously
Over anything they had to say
Pointing at each other and laughing
As they go about their day

Who knew a thing like this would happen
When the world went to bed last night
That the very next morning
They'd wake up clowns for life

Oh, I almost forgot the Politicians
Were the only ones to stay the same
It's already a simple known fact
*When your a clown you don't need to change
Who should I turn to
at a time when the world has lost its definition

Trying to find meaning is as fleeting
as painting on a wetted canvas

the colours bleed
STAY IN YOUR PLACE!
-is what I want to yell-

What I need now is order
and control

Funny how we woke up in the morning
and pretended that tomorrow never happened—
strutted naked in mirrors celebrating our youth,
laughing, knowing suns and moons couldn’t do the same.

We borrowed our arms from the fridge
and peddled bicycles with bad breath—
trading war stories ‘cause we knew
if we came back alive
life would still be the death of us.

burn the light of fire
and wax the ears of injustice.

chide the moon
and bid ado to the reckless sun.

count the blessings of misfortunes
and wave verbs in the air--
breathing the hopeful breaths of married sandals

Label the pains of a billion rain drops and fawn the feathers
of a nightingale over the glory of failed
triumphs known as yesterday.

break the hands of a wristwatch and make a ******* of time--
for through the God in Satan was how Earth was won.

Who can tell me
What it is I need to know

               *About the moment

               Between fast and slow

About that slight tick
Between on and off

               About the silence
Between what's here and whats lost

Who can show me
What is good and bad

               The importance of
               The opposite of sad

What it is once
That we all had

               The knowledge of
               What we all now lack

Who can tell me
What is right and wrong

               The subtle heartbeat
               Between here and gone

The coming showdown
Between old and young

               The major let down
Of what we thought and what we've done

Who can tell me
        Of these mysteries
                 Who can show me
                           *Because I'd love to see
Know This
(A Cop's Creed)

I cannot shoot to only wound
For that requires you do not move
I shoot to stop you from a crime
So that I or others will not die

Once pulled my gun shoots to ****
Then what happens is God's will
Dont test the training that I have
For if you loose it will end up bad

If called to serve and protect a life
I will do my duty to do what's right
I do not wish to take a life
But I cannot chance that I will survive

No fear or flight will you ever see
I will stand my ground while others flee
So if ever I must pull my gun
Know this,........Your day is done

When you read this you have to use your Clint Eastwood voice. Its much better that way..lol
