When at night green seas touch the moon
pulling toward the shore, shiny creatures crawl the sands
in shells of watery homes, soon to drift away
swaying seaweed clings to metal rings of wooden boats and oars
Moon tides, ever pushing, pulling
transient sandy shores, and sings the light to follow
worlds emerge from dark of night, water filling up
the hollows

Sleeping among fiery fields of summer, senses undone
colors walk among, her lucid dreaming,
red skies of watercolor suns

Trees, unfurl leaves of dreams
that rustle and awake you,
no windows, only a meadow amidst
shadows of kings, the hills
rise beneath blue mountains
sweeping to the  sea

When the earth in Spring
and all the yellows are nearly green
exploding ripe the catkin maple seeds
hung for flitting sparrows

When swift the clouds
dark, with pelting rain
of droplets wet pooling
in the hollows

As the clouds give way to sun
move hurriedly to fill the day with light
there where tiny budding leaves
are greening in the shadows

The warmth of day lingered on, shadows played a sweeping sun
grassy swallows swooped, grey dusky light
colors of day, drank away the meadow
in skies of yellow, blue

Wind of wild roses, a thicket swirled sweet the night
flower petaled breezes swept the air
in fragrant fields of dream,
beneath the moon

Thinking back there was that time,
days when the sun shined - just for you
You took the long way
and peddled through the puddles
Green road - a tunnel of maples, undercover
letting go, no hands
Youth's fearless reign
of summer

Bygone days that seem
so long ago I hope shall
live again!
A tranquil retreat among whispering pines
Sipping iced tea or lemonade
Feeling the breath of God
in a thousand breezes....
O! how I yearn for those
bygone days
to return with spring!

It's funny how people tell me I'm strong, tough
Independent
But some things make me so weak
My will breaks easily and I fall
I'm not talking about physical weakness
Nor any type of physiological frailty
My mind and heart are the problem
And sometimes I wonder
Were the tinman and scarecrow wrong?
True, there is benefit in having a heart
And yes, a mind has much to offer
But the heart remembers you
The mind aches with pain
And I'm tired of being broken
I know I can be sweet
Kindness is little problem
But does one need a heart to be kind?
Perhaps its absence would suit me better
And if I think, I think so often of the past
What could have been, what might have been
And I think(hah think) that maybe
Losing my mind wouldn't be so bad
So tell me heart, and you also mind
What is your great redeeming quality?
I'm dying to know
