Do you ever wonder... about us?
I do,
It seems like I do every day.

Maybe it's because you met someone else,
and I was a fool to let you go.
Maybe it's because being stuck in this limbo feels worse than hell.
I don't know.

All I know is you linger in my soul.
I try to let you go,
But when you are about to,
I shout, "No! Don't leave!  Stay, stab, torment..."

You're the only thing I feel anymore,
I'm afraid of feeling anything else,
I think that maybe one day,
we'll just get over each other,
and that scares me more than this pain.

You're in my heart,
never to leave,
a siren calling me in,
and leaving me crashing upon your shore.

but, do you ever wonder... about us.

Because if you do,
well that's enough.
Even should I rip every nerve from my flesh,
Will I still feel this agonizing pain?
For I am left to lay here, alone without an option
Until this illness is taken from me.

Oh do I have empathy for prisoners in their cells
Their minds rot quicker than flesh
In the same manner I am bound here to brood
To soak within my own torment.

I remember the days with your fingers through my hair
Watching over me, care-taking
But now not a soul has ne'er an interest in me
For all they know, I could be dead.

Alas, yes the though has been planted, yet,
The soil around strangles it.
For if it were not for that rich soil that you,
Are not a part of, it would bloom.

Perhaps I'll draw a line to prove my insanity
Instead of going down the road.
And maybe, then, just maybe you will see then,
The iceberg's tip from the beast beneath.

I have one question
That needs an answer
All my fears
Need no enhancer

Was It you?
Could it be her?
I need knowledge
Memory's a blur

No more lies
About the past
What really happened?
Theories are vast

I'm sick of wondering
Am I loved?
Or into this world
Was I just shoved?

Maybe I shouldn’t be here
Maybe, it wasn't meant to be
Is this why I wish
That I could just flee

Away from you
And your hypercritic tongue
I've been a mistake
Since I was young

I saw a lone red rose today
Lying crushed on trodden snow
As the ******* hearse drove away
And all the mourners made to go.

Perhaps it was just me who saw
And felt the sharp pain of it's fall,
The dead rose in the snowy thaw,
Me thinking of you most of all.

As they put you into the ground
The mourners did not seem to see
The solitary rose I had found,
It's dead petals crushed like me.

I saw a lone red rose today
Lying crushed on trodden snow,
And just about all I can say
Is yet in death, I love you so.
the setting sun
blood red orb falling into mercury sea
soft breeze tracing your skin like a lover’s caress
stillness
so pure

inky blackness falls
an endless arch peppered with stars
planets blink
flying fish dance
phosphorescence sparkles green
luminous in the wake of your footfall

and so you sit
breathing
absorbing
the very essence of earth, sea and sky

the moon rises full
swollen with fecundity
silence embraces you
life’s negativity is cleansed from your soul

and so you sit
dreaming
wishing on a star

the sun rises
pink, peach, soft
enveloping your being
giving birth to a brand new day

to a brand new you

Give me you're hand, love,
And place it on my chest.
Do you feel my heart beat softly,
Underneath my breast.

The beat is slow and rhythmic,
And forever it stays true.
This heart that beats so softly,
Has always beat for you.

I've never been so good at rhyming
The words just wouldn't come to me
Matching words with matching feelings
Sometimes feels forced or schemed.

But for you I want to try
You make me feel like I could fly
To be anywhere you are today
Knowing this feeling will always stay...
Knowing you'll always love me

I used to be afraid of change
And at times it still seems daunting
But I know life can't always stay the same
If it did I'd never have found you...

And it hasn't always been easy for me
To talk or sing or write about how I feel
It's something that I've been working on
So this relationship will stay strong...

Because you make me want to try
You make me feel like I could fly
To be anywhere you are today
Knowing this feeling will always stay...
Knowing you'll always love me

But knowing is not always so simple
There are fights and hurt and anger all around
And times when I just want to throw you on the ground
And times when I wonder what to do...

But that's just a part of life
You and me we can't deny
That love isn't something you get
It's something you try, try, try for...

And for you I want to try
You make me feel like I can touch the sky

To be anywhere you are today
Knowing this feeling will always stay...
Knowing you'll always love me
And I will always love you too.

When you lay your head down,
Do you see me as you close your eyes?
Hear my voice,
As you drift off into slumber?
Am I your knight,
Your prince charming pursuing your rescue?
Take your leap from the tower,
I will be there to catch you.
Fight for you,
Even though you'd never ask
Insanity roars upon both ears
My sanity is in this book.
I must read in sanity
Or I cannot quell my fears.
Of the fool, whose senses took
...Ease and lack of care.
Of the jester's twisted visage
All the children, it does scare.
But inside all these pages,
A sanctuary: here
