We stand facing each other.
each knowing the other is fake.

the only thing that we can do together
is hiding that knowing from the outside world

We will just keep staring at each other
on display in the big front window.
Until the shop closes

26 Letters

26 letters make words
And words make sentences
And sentences make phrases
And phrases make paragraphs
And paragraphs make stories
And if you're lucky,
Stories turn into songs.

Songs state emotions
Emotions cause feelings
But feelings cause emotions
It's an endless repeating pattern of thoughts.
Thoughts make us human
But so does the brain
The heart
Pumping the life to our veins.
But why do we live
Why do we thrive
Why do we wonder about the time that goes by
Time is aging
Aging is growing
But growing means we eventually all die.
Why do we die
But why do we live
Why can't we control the pain that we give
To ourselves
To our lives
It all makes us cry
Why do we cry
Why do we tear
Why do we force ourselves to listen to things we don't want to hear
Why go through torture
Why go through sorrow
When death could easily be the best thing about tomorrow.

The Beatles were wrong.
Sometimes, love isn't all you need.
With a blind eye, a deaf ear, and unending love,
Maybe we would succeed. . .
But words can't be taken back;
Things can't be left unsaid.
Distance is the silent killer. . .
And as I lie here in my bed
I think of you, and what we had.
I hope you have good dreams
But what is more? I realize that
*I don't regret a thing.
Haven't written anything in months... I'm trying to ease myself back into it.

To recollect
Fluorescent childhood dreams:
A stuffed bear,
Clutched firm in hand
At the love-torn seams.

The trees reach up too high today,

they tear at the hem of a cloud

A bridal train in tatters

ribbons of a heavenly shroud.

The waves reach not so high today

as to cover up the shore

They leave me room for walking

and I find I’m wanting more...

...more space more room more mind more prayer,

more heart more soul more vision

A growing space inside of me

crying out for a decision

Today I feel the emptiness

where once he stood with me

The Stone whose name is Weariness

forever there will be.

I found it today; the Stone called Weary;

nestled as it was in the sand.

I wept as I carried it, this Stone called Weary;

it marks where I used to stand.

Lacked the strength
to place my mask today

Were there a hidden meaning
one not so much obscured but existing
cackling, he finds a way to point it out
just as cleverly
might I add, a bit quirky
but a kinder person you could not find
somewhat a hermit, this is alright
a better friend is a trial to come by
most of us know him to be sure
just call him Embers
For you DieingEmbers. Hope your day has gotten better!

Colorless

what if everything were white
white kitty cats, white puppy dogs
all white picket fences with a shiny white sky
we all drive our white cars to white buildings
everyone has white hair atop white paper skin
the trees are white and birds are too
and I don't just mean white world
what if religion were white, politicians were white
no I do not mean skin color
there are people who wish to **** people that love another color
so what if everything were white, everyone the same
a **** replica of a replica
would we then still find ways to hate?
I wrote the first half of this in my sleep. Woke up took it from there.
