Help

Walk faster push harder
Look for a light in the sun
All though all around you it feels like it dying
You're dying there's no air there's no fun

You're drowning alone and suffocating
The salt being poured down your throat
Strangles your cries for help
You can't hardly breath much less float

So why try?
Why not give up?
The bodies around you have done it
The blood that you drown in could fill gallons and cups

But you don't
You're still here
You're alive
Dispite what you fear

I am too
And so are the others
My pain won't be so bad
If we help one anothers

Its a long and scary swim
with no boats and no oars
But i'll give you my hand
If you give me yours

Life alters in one moment

from health to sickness,

from life to death

but never back again.

No foresight or knowledge

can predict, or prepare us for what is to come...

so we live on the edge of promise

on the cusp of doom,

trying not to lean too far in one direction

or another,

and tip the scales

into the uncertainty

of which we constantly live in fear.

Racing off the beaten path
Praising love through natures wrath
Pluck the last grape from the vine
Crossed legs trace lips
With a mountains forest, pine.

And pine I did for life last Spring
Pining nature be you it bring
The foliage grows upwards in spry
Towards grey sky, against the lie
That we were born to die

That we're always the cabin
We're always the paper
We're always the leaves
We make up the fire
If we aren't the trees.

Two trees grow together
Two trees brace the weather
We grow to touch the clouds
We burn the same fire
You're the Pine this tree needs
In this Forest Crowd

I live through music
I am the rhythm
I am the beat
I am my heart-beat
I am the vibration
The sound that moves your soul
The tones that colour the sky
The tempo that guides the sun
The moon and the stars
Are in tune with me
The wind and the rain
Harmonise with me
The earth
Resonates with me
Come by my side and join
Me in my symphony
For without music
Life is nothing to me

Still

When it's late at night
Try lying very still
So still
That not even the rhythm of your breathing
Disrupts the messy blankets on top of you
If you're still for long enough
You can forget to feel
No significant neural messages from your feet
And suddenly it feels like they're not there
Slowly, it will creep over you
A non-existent numbness
Draining away at all of the feelings
That connect you to your body
Until all that's left is a consciousness
Free to explore and think
Without being held back
By the organic confines that are meant to protect it.
