September 11, 2001 is a reminder for me because I was supposed to work for Marsh & McLennan, Inc. on the 96th Floor in World Trade Center Tower One, but the company never called me. I am blessed that I wasn’t called. My name could have been written in the memorial. Yet, I feel sorrow for all those that did lose their lives and the families left behind without their love ones. I loss some friends in 9/11. God is good as I am covered under his Mercy and Grace.

The hour and that precise minute
Precision at every turn
Shows how the world can turn upside down
Lives that were never found
Devastation and ash having the final sound
We honor the loss being their story, and now they are in glory
It also states never take life for granted
We don’t know what will take place in our lives
Today and Tomorrow is not promised to any of us
Life is precious and time continues to revolve
But are keeping in touch with living love ones on a Daily basis?
Having that I don’t care is not the right vibe to keep
God’s sake

IT HAPPENED A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
IT WAS ON A LOS ANGELES FREEWAY
TRAFFIC WAS MOVING AND THINGS BEGAN TO ASTRAY
THE WEATHER WAS PICTURE PERFECT
BUT THE BLACK BUILT MAN DIDN’T KNOW THAT HIS LIFE COULD BE NO MORE BECOMING BEYOND ANYONE’S REALIZE
IN FACT, THE IMPACT ACTION THAT WOULD COME BEING A TOTAL SURPRISE
SPEEDING, FASTER AND FASTER WITH ACCELERATING SPEED
IMMEDIATELY AND SUDDENLY COMING TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME, THE BLACK BUILT MAN’S CAR TURNED OVER AND OVER SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE LANDING BACK ON ITS FOUR WHEELS
THE MANUEVER WAS DEFINITELY FOR REAL, AND WASN’T A DREAM BUT A TASTE OF REALITY
BUT THE BLACK BUILT MAN MANAGED TO SURVIVE

My Roots there were struggles
Our lives beaten until we bleed
Yet Freedom was our only fled
Music and rhythm being in our blood
We danced in praise
During slavery it became the Slave Masters amaze
It was a blessing looking to in Heaven being a crave
Yet, Historians think of us Blacks in being a phase
But the name Black went to Afro-American
But Black comes in many shades as well
So I am happy to tell
You won’t find any oh well
Legacies are within me
Understanding being everything it should be
My soul is truly complete
There is no room for deceit
As a Black Man, I do suffer
I still feel I must take cover
My dream for Freedom is not yet over
My tears are my daily cries
But a voice always says, “Stand Up and Rise”
You have nothing to apologize
You are black because you have goodness
I have shown you the way
Being Black is only a color
It becomes the background of who you are supposed to be
Take pride
You are noticed
Legacies are your standpoint throughout
Let dignity and pride be your shout
You are Black because your mission is to fulfill

Black to stand and having wisdom within.

It was cousin’s dog named King
He was King of the house
He didn’t even have a spouse
There wasn’t even a mouse
King was an obedient Dog
In fact, he was well trained
His mind was sharp
Mark my word
King was definitely man’s friend
Right to the end
King died from old age on May 1, 2022
His eyes were saying Goodbye
I tried holding back my tears
But they poured throughout the atmosphere
I always brought King a gift
My family would say “Lucky Stiff”
I called King cousin King
He was part of the family
King would always stay by me
I was always his petter
But when it came to King’s bed
He let everyone know that his bed was his lair instead
His message was “I live here”
I will miss seeing King always greeting me at door
I mean that for sure
As I write this, I am reflecting back on King’s friendly ways
King was camera shy
Didn’t like pictures that’s why
Christmas Days will never be the same
Yet I will have love for King that will always remain
Bark in praise
SIP in God’s amaze
We will see each other again one day.

So where did it begin?
Sat and wrote
I thought this must be a joke
Letters formed before my eyes in plain sight
They turned me into a Poet I was meant to be
Directed by own ability
But it was through Heaven’s guidelines
I became an automatic Poet
My inner thoughts needed to be expressed
You could call a testimony of confess
Being like cotton through the nylon
My own daily words to look upon
You never know unless you give a try
My fears felt like a war cry

It was Heaven that gave me the inspiring gift

The Lord gave me a gift being a blessing to write

The S.S. Voyager being a Merchant Ship
But as you keep reading the story you will find there was also a dip
As the Storm started to brew
The sea waves began to raw
It was high waves in what the Captain and crew saw

Yet the Cargo managed to hold steady
The Ship maneuvered up and down with a hard front splash down
The splash of the ship the crew heard being the sound
But Captain Newsome was determined in getting the ship through uncertain waters
But the crew wasn’t exactly comfortable in their quarters
It was despite the uncontrollable breeze
It was hard for the crew to remain at ease
Captain Newsome steered the ship in hope that the ship doesn’t sink but remain a float
Captain Newsome was a men fierce being no joke
It was as if Captain Newsome got his wish
The Storm seemed to suddenly disappear
The clouds started to fade away
The moon became visible and not astray
The night sky had all the stars
The S.S. Voyager continued on its destination far
It seemed the ship wasn’t going to make it, but the ship pulled through, but to the Captain, it was all nothing new.

I was told this story relating to enemies
The title caught my attention
I felt I had to mention
A man being 98 Years Old
The age alone was a behold
But it doesn’t surround the story told

A Minister preached his sermon about forgiveness
There was one being a true witness
After the Minister preached, he asked the congregation if they had any enemies
No one really answered but one
Yes you probably guessed it, the old man
It was the 98 Year Old Man being among
The Old Man stated he had no enemies
The Minister and the congregation were in a daze
The answer from the Old Man had the congregation in a automatic amaze
However, that wasn’t the end to all that
What you are about to witness became a known fact
The Old Man then repeated, “He had no enemies”
So the Minister asked the question directly to the Old Man
Why do you say you have no enemies?
Everyone has at least one or two or perhaps more
The Old man responded, “They died and I out lived them all”
After that, the Minister and the entire congregation gave the Old Man a standing ovation.

Hefty Thomas, a Weightlifting Champion
He could lift 1000 pounds in weights as if they were toys
He could bend steel bars as if they were rubber
Mr. Thomas performed Feats of Strength
He is one that goes at every length
Hefty pulls heavy trucks, buses and even a large passenger plane
He is his own takeoff and controls his own boundaries
The world has witnessed Hefty Thomas at numerous weightlifting competitions
Competitors are always warned when Hefty demonstrates
Once Hefty lifts, the message becomes clear to competitors, “Lift or stay home”
Some people saw Hefty as Hercules while others see him as Atlas
But no matter what, strength in any name
Hefty is a strength warrior
He also had been witnessed in crushing a solid brick to ashes with one crush
Hefty wrestled a Lion, and you could hear Bone Crushing sounds from the Lion
Greater the strength the power within the heart
Heft Thomas stands 6’2” weighing 400 pounds with veins extending from his neck to his legs
His muscles are all beef and contour
Hefty is not a little man and some consider him a giant in average standards
He had broken world weightlifting records
Yet, he never competed in the Olympics, but didn’t chose to do so
Hefty Thomas wanted to show the possibilities in how strength could be performed in fitness good in strength beyond compare
He was a man who had a mission, and strength being his bounty and that I wanted to share.

Many times you will hear a person say having no name
But saying that I would be lame
In this particular case, it’s a bus with a name but no company name

Let me move on into more detail
It was the Mack MV620, but where you find a Mack, there is also fact
Greyhound in 1957, they6 were asked to test a new prototype bus that had just came out with the possibility of coming to be part of their bus fleet
How neat
So Greyhound tested the bus, and it didn’t take long for Greyhound to discontinue the test
The test was conducted on a schedule from Chicago to San Francisco
Greyhound did that for a month, and when the test was complete, they gave their analysis
Greyhound had concluded that the bus was neat, but it just didn’t fit in with its current fleet
The front looked like a bus, but the back looked more like a sedan
As an added detail, the restroom is located on the Drivers side way in the back of the bus as composed the restroom conventional now on the right side or door side if you will
That the was the end of where the bus stops here began
But Greyhound Bus Management back then, they didn’t see the Long Range plan of what the Mack MV620 could have become
Imagine, Greyhound being the Nations Leader Transportation Carrier with a new structured bus that no one had ever heard about or seen
Greyhound would have been that company in introducing the bus to America

You would often see me write in my living room being found
I come from a small town
But on this particular day, I had no ideas to write

My words literally jumped from my head and onto the paper
I was writing as if it was a caper
I was totally motivated and full with appreciate

I was a vision from a dream
There was no danger by any means
I lived and was taken care of by Wolves
I learned to eat and protect myself
It was living in nature survive
I began too embrace with nature in the all outdoors
It didn’t matter to the Wolves if that I was human with two fours
It was an embracing affair full of love
Now that I was a Full Gown adult, it was time to move on and tell the Wolves Good-Bye

Ever heard of wine glasses extending from the floor to the height of an average person?
Hold on to your thirst
I witnessed myself when I was on vacation in Tijuana, Mexico
We spent the day in Tijuana on a Gray Line Sightseeing tour starting in San Diego, California where I was staying
As I explored Tijuana moving about, I began to get thirsty, but we were told in San Diego to not drink anything, so we didn’t
The reason, the Tour Company didn’t want us to get Montezuma’s Revenge
As I witnessed Wine Glasses being tall, I had to get close
Within the Café, the Wine glasses were certainly tall with straws to match
No, there is no catch
Yet, I often feared that if those tall wine glasses were bummed into, that would be a definite alcoholic mess with the possibility to a stray animal such as a cat or dog or even an insect that would get drunk
It may sound funny, but is no bunk
To the average person drinking the first couple of sips, I am sure they would be drunk
So Tall Wine Glasses with the feeling of an ever ready
But would feel so what unsteady
Yet wine glasses that stand tall
Drink up for thirst that would establish the pallet for all.

My tomorrow was yesterday
Anguish within being a disturbance
My heart is broken into two parts
Circumstance and chance
Hope seemingly like a put on hold
But the fire in me says be bold

It’s the pass Election concerned about
The President is forced to standalone
Rioters at the Capitol made it full blown
It was an attack on the Capitol with lacked defense
As it stands in past tense
It was multitudes of the President’s supports doing their will
It was a day to Certify the Electoral vote
It was the President suggesting to the world being a revolt
This was serious and wasn’t a joke
It was those fierce words in what the President spoke
Our Democracy had an invade
Darkness having no shade
The President wanted to rearrange the election in his favor
But he loss with no savor
So the President Elect became official
The President is trying to be quiet like a still pickle
His Cabinet mostly resigned
But the President is alone with no having assigned
Even the Vice President and the President don’t communicate
It is all because the President doesn’t appreciate
But now worries are on the Inauguration at the Capitol
Will all authorities be prepared?
The Senate and the House have doubt
But will it be time to work out
The air has light breezes
No one feels at ease
In fact, it is like a tight squeeze
Even the President’s Social Media accounts have been suspended
The President needs to understand in a couple of weeks, his services will no longer be needed.

Everything prepared the day before
Reading a recipe book for sure
The Flour, Butter and Sugar all added
It’s not the Pillsbury Bake Off
It was a need for dessert

Soon a layer cake to eat, I hope

This cake came out as a joke
I might could be served as a pancake
My first instinct was to get my tire and pump like a flat tire
Like I said, attempted bake

Simply a mistake
Garbage with no partake.

I was loss in the vast wilderness
Trying to find my way
Here I am
Had no idea how I even got loss
I saw something and wanted to investigate
I guess that would be source of why I am in this situation
I wondered into the woods
I am where I stand
The sunset is taking effect and slowly going down
Darkness came quickly
I knew I was in the wrong direction
I worried and cried
I am giving anything a try
How would I find my way
I am so far into the woods and off the trail estray
I glanced at the Moon
It was as if the Moon was guiding me through the woods
The Moon showed me my own reelection
That was the right direction
Every step I made I felt caution
I wasn’t even thinking about being rescued
I knew I had to get back to the trail and onto the campgrounds where I was
Praying in between seemed to help
I knew I wasn’t alone
I saw a light in the distance, and it was the trail leading to the camp
Suddenly, I was back at camp and there were search parties looking for me
However, I arrived back safely and was welcomed back by my friends
The Moon’s wisdom and Heaven’s timing made everything alright.

It was an elegant affair
This was beyond Folgers moment
It was a pure Caviar and Chandelier delight
The Wine Glasses enchanted in party approval
Now that might sound unusual
But the Cup and Saucers got on the dance floor
Even the Stars that were outside had to twinkle
It was sheer beauty and ambivalent
Yet, the party was far from silent
Even the Tea Kettles got into the dancing act
But it goes even beyond that
The Drums had their own beat
Let me tell you, it was the Cups, Saucers, Tea Kettles and even Coffee Pots on the dance floor moving to the sounds of melody on their feet
But the party had a certain magical environment being totally unexpected
The Violins added their theme in mellows and serene tone’s
The music being right for the night
The party was far from any Disney dear
But there was endurement near
However, credit must be given to credit due, the tea cups started the party off, and the Drums and Violins held the party up
Excuse me now, while I get on the dance floor
This is romantic music I can’t ignore.

It was a bus trip to the Bus Bash Spring Fling
But there was an discovery being the thing
I then realized I couldn’t find my house keys
A certain panic came over
The LIRR train leaves my home station at a specific time
I will be behind schedule running through my mind
Of course I missed the LIRR train schedule from my house
I immediately called for a Car Service to the LIRR Jamaica Station to get me to the New York City Penn Station quick
I told the Car Service Drive to speed it at all course, and didn’t care how she did it, and take short cuts
Yes, I had a Female Driver
I made it to the LIRR Jamaica Station, and got the train that made one stop at Woodside, Queens then New York City Penn Station
Finally arriving in New York City, I walked towards the opposite side street across from the Port Authority Bus Terminal where the bus was leaving
What perfect timing, the Chartered Bus Company was arriving at the same time I was arriving, and the passengers gathered to board
Thank you Lord
When I arrived they were starting to call attendance names to board bus
I was number Four
Boarded the Bus
I was on my way to the Bus Bash Spring Fling in Hershey, PA
Met Bus Friends
The trip had a refreshing end.

Our love being smooth and creamy to the touch
Love and more Love that echoes much
Caramel, Vanilla or Dark Chocolate, it’s doesn’t matter what flavor
As long as we are together, our Love is the slaver that will never melt
