Sunrise

Rub your sleep filled eyes it’s time again to rise
Stretch and yawn and fill your lungs and put a smile on
It is dark a new day is about to come in
All is quiet for now as the world slowly continues its spin
One by one the birds wake and begin their morning song
In a little while the whole world will start to sing along
Horizon tinted in orange red and gold
An infinite number of possibilities grand adventures untold
All the earth seems to stand still for a moment, frozen in time
What a grand event this is and it doesn’t cost a dime
