My Name
“What’s in a name” –Shakespeare
Unique, different and uncommon
Sounds masculine, but beautiful when a woman has it
Sparks up questions like:
How did you get it?
Or
Is it short for another name?
Easily compared to an old TV show
I hear a lot:
Have you ever watch the Nash Bridges episodes?
No!
Is that where your name comes from?
No!
My life existed two years before Bridges came to be
My name...
Came from a waitress that my mother saw on an old movie
She was pregnant with me
She promised herself if she was blessed with another girl
That Nash was the chosen name for thee
Italian runs through my blood,
Green, white and red
But marriage gave me another heritage
German
Black, red and yellow
A wolf pack family
Wild, hunger and thirst
Stays together,
And
Fights every battles
With one another
My name,
Has potential and a lot of character
Intelligent far beyond age
Individualism, sarcasm
My name,
Is special
It justifies me, it is simple
Nothing fancy
Or
Hard to pronounce
Unusual to hear
A few people have it
If any at all
I have yet to meet another person
That shares this name
With me
Does that mean something?
