the trees can hide and conceal so much with leafy branches and luscious life all around but when the season changes and suddenly what was so full of color is now brown and on the ground it makes me wonder what makes the trees come back again after being bare and dormant for so long? what awakens them from their dreamy slumber? what breathes life into their brittle branches and makes them grow buds that blossom and bloom? what keeps them from lashing out at those who break them? what gives them the strength after missing the sun to decide to restart the cycle of growth? who dusts snow from their frozen frame and calls forth their tender buds of spring? who recolors the leaves that grow fast and sure from there awaking branches and makes them supple and sprightly once more? why do they conceal their life behind a facade of frozen death and then slowly emerge into full on life? why do they go through the same cycle from life until death? why do they allow others to live off of them and yet never ask for anything in return? why do birds poke and jab at them and yet they still allow the nests to be created between their branches? why do they get chopped down and burned to death when all they were doing was benefitting our world? how can they remain in the cycle for so long and withstand so much, and yet it's not too much for them to handle? how can new life form from the death of another? how can they add a new ring every year and still look and remain the same young tree on the outside? how can they stand still in the same spot until death but yet dance with the wind?
what makes the trees come back again more like who. . . well heβs the same man, perfect like Ken, that created me and you.
