There it was
she watched death across from her,
staring her in the face,
grinning evilly at her misery.
It knew the control it had over her.
It knew that no matter how hard she tried...
she couldn't defeat death.

The fear it instilled in her would always be there,
she could not escape its bony grasp.
It knew her one weakness.
It knew that no matter what,
she was trapped in this dark, icy place.
