on work, politics, whether box shall
have wheels. the tiny model shines gold.

i am taken reverently to a place
of packing. all creatures back
in to tissue. it is not crumpled
like mine.

untouched, it was his first one,
untrained, he is young and
full of hope.

it was a most surprising day
which left little appetite for
anything but grapes and pure
necessities.

it is good to have a break.
