Dec 2014
I remember that fire burning in my bones
as you spit those words on my face
and turned your back on me.
My heart ripped out of my chest
and cursed you for turning into a monster
as I stood there trying to breath.
I still get goosebumps thinking of when
you leaned and whispered to my heart,
"Don't worry fool, you'll fall and get hurt again."

Since that day, I have wasted every second
trying to prove you wrong.
for this time I can't let you win.
