Misty, sea-gray eyes
framed in wet-sand blond hair.
Brightly lit orbs
with a secretive, seductive shadow
surrounded by gold-streaked waves falling,
first left, then right.
Hidden in those eyes
are unknown thoughts and emotions
that - down your nose
and across those lips -
escape every now and again
through that flash of a smile.
Sarcastic, happy, rye,
I am enticed by
all of your wiles -
whether you mean them or not,
whether you see it or not -
I wish to learn the reason
your eyes smile.
