Waiting for a phone call
She asks to watch a film
Retiring to her room
As I follow
Waiting for a phone call
We lay out
Turn the computer on
And wait
Hearts are beating
She takes out the stethoscope
To see how alive I am
Palms are sweating
As our legs inch closer
Waiting for a phone call
Playing music
And waiting
There is no call
Yet I go home
