Plane sailing spinning in the red sky
a mid range missile took her tail away
watch her spin sailing madly
she's going down, crashing into the sea

God they can't eject
two pilots for the drink
friends of mine
with now posthumous medals not worth a dime

I used to have great talks with them
late night at fleet control
we would laugh and cry
they were brothers of mine

Yet here on the deck I watch in horror
the mist of tears in my eyes
as another two hero's
do take the dive
