Jan 2011
She looks at the horizon,
blue-violet against the sun.
Fading into the open sea,
calm as her breath.

A sudden pain in her chest,
her heart beats fast.
Fear grips her down.
But, wanes with her moan.

She remembers laughter,
beautiful memories.
She remembers life trials.
How she conquered them all!

She remembers love,
all she took and gave.
She remembers nothing more,
no ill feelings within her.

She smiles and stares,
beyond the fading light,
past the emerging stars.
Finally, she’s at peace.
'A beautiful death.'
