                                                                     and the simple man

We walk the one truth       street

                                              ||

I see !

                                  ( sure  ! )

what it is you really want
what you really need

What you are tryin to say

////
                                                     a simple man

she says she wants love

But she doesn't even live

In her body !

Her heart is empty !

Her mind is on fire !!

••

The streets are deserted

Except for the eerie visions

Of lusted  desperation

And superficial dreams

()()()()

The trucks move up and down the streets

The trash is collected

And of course THE POLICEMAN

She

Sees the simple man and        Reaches Out

but

                                            She is seen by her "peers"

And lifts up her skirt

And scowls

••

The one truth street

It starts somewhere

Ends somewhere

You can walk it if you dare
