Sometimes I go the extra mile to make him laugh.
He locks my eyes,
Shoulders hunched, he sticks one hand deep in his pocket
and flashes his pearly whites as he puts a hand to his face.
He sweeps a finger under his eye,
as if to wipe away a tear.
There are no tears,
just laughter;
and grinning from ear to ear.
