I sought life alone like a mindful cat in the fields of blue
Standing while other eyes sipped creation
My bare feet entertained the rocks I stepped upon
Like faithful servants walking on their way
To hear a word from you

In my hand I held delicate flowers from an unknown past
Until all the petals wished for tomorrow
Yet none gave pleasure like the rocks I stepped upon
Trying to achieve perfection in the eyes
Which brought me truth

Looking behind me at twin mirrors I saw into the past
Where morning wore the shoes of my feet
My bare feet entertained the jagged edges of rocks
Like faithful servants walking on their way
To hear a word from you

A thousand thoughts looked beyond the fields of blue
Where I sought life alone like a mindful cat
Placing the flowers from the past into my hair
I took my shoes from the morning
To sip creation with you
