The Hammock
A boy in a hammock
Lovingly like a monster
I reach my lacy fingers
a little closer.
A thread
gets caught on the piece
of peace
that somehow ends
up in my pocket.
I give him the key to lock it
and tell my lacy fingers
to just stop it.
****** poetry is still poetry.
