I see you in his eyes.
In the way he looked at me, the other day.
And I see you in his smile,
Especially when I'm the reason why.

I see you in him all the time.
And it scares me to death.
Because you weren't mine.
And neither is he.

And I don't want either of you.
But I want the idea of you.
I want the idea of kisses at midnight.
I want the idea of a love that moves me.

But some things aren't meant to be.
And that's okay.
My ghosts keep me company.
And they are warmer than you ever were.
