Byssal
a boxcar rooted in wheat
the laughing man finds solice
and shelter from the rain
faces on speed dial
weather and rot
why you caught up
on a boy in a boxcar?
acummulating dust
ferric oxide (rust)
acid-burning insides
decomposing through
living amongst
centipedes
and mice
we have succumbed to a garden state
dig deep
for roots
or something to hold on to
