These Hands
Into these hands
has been placed a heart
bruised but not broken
weary but not forsaken.
Into these scarred hands
has been placed a love
unlooked for
and beautiful.
Into these hands
a light has been delivered
potent but untested
grieved but unbowed.
Into these weathered hands
a future has been delivered
unborn
and fragile.
And with these hands
I will sooth that heart.
And with these hands
we shall embody that love.
And with these hands
you shall carry that light into the night.
And with these hands
we shall create that future
waiting to be born.
A Future of Love
of the Heart
of the Light.
If only I could read this with my hands over your heart.
