I took her out
we drove
we walked
we drove
we ate
we drove
she left
i sat
i sat and thought of how i had done
I sat and asked myself "did she have fun?"
I sat and worried and I drove
I drove and worried about the girl in the grove
I worried
I drove
I walked
I sat
I thought
The first I'd found to be like me
Peace and love, another hippie
Bob and The Beatles, Janis and The Doors
such wonderful tunes, what's not to adore?
I sat
I thought
I listened
I thought
I called
Called to ask if she had a good time
Called to find that I'd done fine
Or so she said but I'm not sure
I'll just be nervous, there's only one cure
I smoked
