Passing through pages of thought.
The magnetic flicker to their face,
stare locked.
Perception blinded by all but him.
Faculties intoxicated by something tangible.
Fingers leave sheets
and face down goes what was already written.

Swallow, step.

Drawn forward she swallowed
and stepped towards the black current,
like a paralysed force driven by desire.
