Illusions scattered throughout time
Gaining depth and colour as they shine
Ghosts of spirits laid long to rest
Shining stars made the most of us
Yet even in the darkness before the dawn
To mankind each minute newborns cry
Propagating plants in forests high
Treetop dwellers pass silently by
Leaving nothing in their wake
The gamblers raising up the stake
As mirrored reflections paint the past
Treasures buried unearthed now at last
Bones long fossilised to rock
Worn down mountains valleys top
Seashells washed upon the shores
Lifes avenues with unkeyed doors
Shattered fault lines run askew
Remind the earth of all that’s true
In ages past the impact craters
From space the end of dinosaurs
