if i could, i'd marry nature i'd marry her just so i could say that i own her all her oxides and minerals all her chemical reactions and her ionic bonds all her sounds and singing all her winds and swinging
i'd marry nature just so i'd know every inch of her being every mark and every curve every amount of fat or lack of it every ingrown hair and nail
i would kiss her body, cold or warm and drink her soul, drop by drop i would taste her every insecurity and feel cozy in her intimacy i would get drunk on her perfectly designed flaws and drown in her every quality i'd caress her soft skin and connect with each of her ancestors hear all their stories as i feel her every living cell move and work just to keep her heart humming all their favorite tunes
if i married nature i'd memorize every song sheet from her body's orchestra not in order to try to play it (even though i'd love to play it) but to understand the way she refuses to dance in wedding parties but will ask to dance with my shadow when we're the only ones that can watch
