Bamboo creaked
as the gentle breezes
licked us.

I swayed into
your split kimono,
the beautiful sound
of happy songbirds
hid our muffled sighs,
me bleeding fine silk
into your warm thighs.

With our eyes clenched,
we giggled,
listening
to nightingales
singing softly
along the babbling brook.
