I burn you down
I will, I can, and I have
I get lost in a frenzy of fire and musk
tied taut between two sleeping masts
sailing ever forward as I slip
arms spread wide,
hoarsely proclaiming a message of my pain,
crucified, on board the navigation to a burnt bridge
for there will always have been a struggle
that, though it contains many words,
must remain silent,
and though I say I will burn you down,
my flames will only consume my own soul.
