My poems aren't just words I wrote.
They aren't like a novel, a story or quote.
My poems are small bits of my soul.
If I deleted them, I'd not be whole.
They tell of times when my heart would sting,
and the times it was made to sing.
My poems are memories, immortalized,
gone over again, and analyzed.
They're a measure of me, of my life, my heart,
and the closest I get, to creating art.
