A solitary orchid bloomed.

Just one blossom in this arid land,
Once,
once I thought I'd found you,
but, my words fall on deaf ears,
I see you in the distance,
But you are never near.

In this the land of starry nights,
my impression is that you're out of sight,
what once was ours made me complete,
now, I cannot feel you,
I can only sense you,
while, all you do,
is creep further away from me.

Sweet lady,
I want no freedom.
