Sometimes,
I close the curtains
and I turn off the light
just so I can sit in my darkness
and pretend that it's night

why can't you tell
that I live in the dark
I've created my very own living hell

why can't you tell
that I only come out in the dark
when I can blend in with my cell

and maybe,
just maybe,
you'll come save me
from these walls I've put up
just for you to break down

or perhaps
I'll sit here and rot
'cause you couldn't tell
that I cared for you,
a lot.
