The  Crumple Zone

I have fallen in between
between the lines of a musical comedy
as with all musical comedies
I laugh, sing, dance
and cry
cry?
Yes
my heart has been left stranded
waiting for my friend to return
we sang many songs together
we laughed at the silliness of it all
we danced the dance of sugar plums
and chicken legs
but now she is gone
and I lay here crumpled
in the Crumple Zone
